  1. Sucks for Dane if that's true but I don't see how that's a bad thing for the state of the program.
  2. I don't understand how we can make so many conclusions on such limited information.
  3. Purdue has played in two of the most one sided games I’ve seen officiated in the past couple of weeks. Unreal.
  4. Yes, it’s making a point. I don’t necessarily agree, but I get the intent.
  5. Auburn against Miami was as bad as Indiana against Syracuse, except Syracuse was a really good team. Hideous, pathetic basketball and some pretty awful coaching.
  6. Want to revisit this one? Big Ten isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire, the only team to make it out of the first weekend may be an 11 seed.
  7. I'm pumped about him too, but I also think the hype differential is understandable when compared to a 5-star and an in-state kid.
  8. Easily, to me. I don't mind Michigan like most IU fans do though.
  9. Most punchable face in college basketball, sans Mr. Tyra Buss.
  10. They were Final Four worthy - Michigan is just a damn good team.
  11. Auburn is their best team and as good a program as any in the country the past five years.
  12. I think they’ll end up with a couple S16 teams and an E8/Final Four team still. That isn’t exactly bad.
  13. Ha it's basically they can only overturn blatantly terrible calls, not just the really bad ones.
  14. I mean I thought that last one was a foul but I'd like to see a replay.
  15. What is Woodson's profile? I assume he could guard some if Weber played him. I haven't followed KSU in recent years, but I don't remember Weber (from the Keady coaching tree) not valuing defense. I mean in an ideal world, we'd love everyone to be interchangeable 6'4 - 6'9 multi faceted scorers and playmakers who can switch everything. But if we need a 6'0 guy that can flat out shoot and score I think we'll take him.
  16. Pack, X, JHS, Bates, Galloway.... wow.
  17. So I actually thought the charge call was correct, in the sense that the replay shouldn't overturn it because the rule is written so poorly. Replay only allows to review if the guy in the circle when contact was made, which IMO, he clearly wasn't. But he also was clearly moving forward into an airborne shooter and it was a clear foul. EDIT: After this referenced sequence, they missed another turnover on MSU that they called a bogus foul, and when Davidson hit a three to cut it to one they refused to review the time left on the clock when the Davidson bench was begging for it.
  18. A disappointing end to what was overall a pretty good year, that I hope we all look back on fondly in the next few years and realize it was the building block of long term success. Some observations: We were a tired basketball team Everyone stunk tonight for Indiana... coaches, players, especially our best players The game was officiated, I thought, in a way that favored us. St. Mary's adjusted to that and used it to their advantage, we kept running into a brick wall in the middle and didn't even try to shoot them into an adjustment The bad call against Race was a killer The all sub lineup really hurt us tonight - I've been a huge fan of how we've subbed and our rotations all year, but it didn't work tonight. Last, but certainly not least, if this is the last we see of you Trayce Jackson-Davis.... thank you. You unequivocally got better in your three years at Indiana and you put this team and program on your back the last few weeks in a way we haven't seen in a very long time. There's probably a lot of room for debate about where you sit historically in IU lore, but there is no question that in the last few decades you rank as an all-time favorite of mine.
  19. I like our chances tonight, we will see how the team responds to travel issues. If TJD can go for 25-30, then we need to find 30-40 from other guys. We do that, we can win. St. Mary's is going to play disciplined ball, but we can beat them if we do the same. Let's go!!!!
  20. I am so happy with Woody, this team, this program, with TJD..... What a resounding success this first year has been. I'm thrilled. We honestly played what may have been our worst game since January, sans TJD and Jordan. But we won by 8 in a tournament game. St. Mary's will be a grind, much like tonight, but it's another game we can win. So is UCLA. First tournament win in 6 years and... it feels SO. DAMN. GOOD.
  21. Probably worth noting that CSU left Ft. Collins at ~9:30 AM today. The main issue was the delay in telling them, not that they're actually getting to Indy late. Getting flights for the tournament has been a mess for the NCAA. Apparently, there is a pilot shortage that is greatly impacting things.
  22. I actually understand Sean on that one. If your brother got booed you’d probably be a little defensive too. I would actually expect Archie to have a more rationale view of the entire situation that Sean, who is probably just going to immediately jump to the emotional defense of his brother.
  23. I would expect less allowed by neutral refs than what the B1G does, with less puzzling calls.
  24. So if I'm understanding this correctly we should have been an 11, correct? We switched with Rutgers, who is an 11... and ND/Rutgers switched seeds with us/Wyoming.
