That’s not very LEO of her

I love the different approach we’ve taken this game offensively. Obviously ISU defense and OSU defense is apples to oranges but it’s a welcome adjustment.

JHS is also in town

The MLB could get a lot more viewers if they didn’t have their stupid blackouts

I was just about to say… RIP to IUPUI & IPFW. Gone too soon for this conference. -
USC and UCLA to the Big Ten ?

Regarding the extended travel and non-revenue sports… wouldn’t this increased revenue allow the athletic department to spend more and give non-revenue sports improved travel options? I see lots of complaints about soccer, volleyball, etc. teams having long trips on buses and how this would only add onto that. But if these schools in “super conferences” now are getting tens more millions of dollars than they were before, why wouldn’t they be able to afford to spend a little bit more on travel amenities for all their athletes? We all know the schools are trying to make as much money as possible, but I don’t know why this wouldn’t be a possible solution. -

I believe we are the most profitable, unless I overlooked someone. $34.4 million in profit. -
I also listened to it the other day and had the same impression. Jakai also said he tweaked it back in January or so. So he’s had two setbacks through his rehab process. It makes sense that the IU medical team wants to take it slowly and rehab differently given that he’s had multiple setbacks already.

It’s probably a single person with little credibility starting a rumor and then people picking it up on Twitter spreading it like they have inside info.

I personally think the narrative about avoiding taking in a player with multiple years left is a bit extreme. I would agree with that narrative if the player in question is a low 3 star 2023 recruit or a below average portal player. But if you’ve got a true impact portal player or one of these recent 4 star 2023 recruits I say we give it a shot. We’re worried about not having enough spots for some of the 2024 studs that we’re recruiting, but the reality is we will not land all of these guys. Also, we can expect a handful of players to leave every year (portal, NBA, etc) given the new landscape of college basketball. There is much more flexibility in constructing a roster than ever before, and I think we should take advantage of it rather than handicapping ourselves.

I know I’m biased but I have a hard time believing Purdue will be at the top of the B1G next year. It feels like they over performed quite a bit last year. Edey can only cover so many flaws so they better hope on some development from their guards because they won’t be gifted as easy of a schedule next season. -
They’re pretty comparable in my opinion, at least at this point. I have no idea what Looney’s contract looks like but I’d imagine TJD (if everything goes as planned) could have a pretty big role on that team in a couple years.
-
I think that’d be a really good fit for both sides
-
I probably could’ve elaborated on my point about Malik a little more. Overall he’s not on the level of TJD yet but he’s shown a soft touch and proven to finish with finesse around the rim. I was pretty surprised last year how polished his moves were. I think he’ll surprise some people this year with how effective he’ll be around the rim.
-
That’s true… hopefully the increased versatility corresponds with playmaking development for someone (doesn’t necessarily matter who). We have X that can break down an offense arguably better than JHS although his mid range jumper may not be as good. I’d argue Malik’s post moves are just as good as TJD’s, which provides us a good option in the post to get buckets. And then you have MM which hopefully will provide us with playmaking ability in a wing that we haven’t had since Romeo.

Give me Galloway over Loyer everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Loyer may end up being a better player over the course of his career but for this season I’d take Galloway. As for Morton, I think he is incredibly average and I’m not sure I’d trade him for any of the guards or wings on our team currently. There’s a reason Brandon Newman was starting over him at the end of the season last year.
-
That may be easier said than done. Not sure what he provides us if he doesn’t want to fill the role we need.

I believe so… seems like Michigan is a little too stingy for their own good. Oh well, that can only help us.
