It very well may be a hard fought game til the end. Just given TJD’s usage and minutes lately it would be nice to get him some rest this game if possible. Of course though I’ll take a win however it comes.

Looks like another feast game for TJD. Hopefully he can sit the majority of the 2nd half

I made the comment about Hauser and Geronimo earlier, but interestingly Hauser is their leading rebounder. I still stand by the comment I made though.

One benefit of the Geronimo-Hauser matchup is on the offensive end, specifically the glass. Good opportunity for some offensive rebounds there IMO.

To be fair, the players themselves made comments about not listening/following the game plan. The three game stretch we had was brutal, nobody is gonna debate that. The past 2 games have been excellent all around (players and staff). The staff created excellent game plans and the players executed it. In my opinion, there should be equal blame on staff and players for the losses and equal praise for the past two performances. Regardless of how it got done, just keep on winning.

I’ll admit I didn’t like the timeout. Felt like a waste of one less than 2 minutes in the game. But hey, we went on a 12-0 run and never looked back, so I’ll gladly eat crow.

You (or maybe someone else) mentioned the play out of the timeout that got gallo an open layup from the curl off the double screen. I’d like to see an action like that to free up a 3 for Miller.

I’d play defense on us the way other team would. Double TJD because he tends to struggle with that, and let anyone not named Kopp shoot a three. IU isn’t gonna beat many teams in a 3 point contest. If you can keep us out of the lane your chances of winning go up considerably.

I agree. That’s about the perfect utilization of him, in my opinion. In addition to any open shots he may happen into like yesterday.

Ok, I wasn’t trying to make a smart comment, just wanted to clarify. I agree Kopp’s efficiency would go down if we ran more offense through him, that’s a no-brainer. I would like to see him get more than 2 shot attempts a game though. He’s not serving us much purpose if he just stands in the corner 90% of the possessions. He also doesn’t need to be shooting 13 attempts a game like Essegian did yesterday. I don’t think anybody is clamoring for that to happen.

Are you trying to say Kopp wouldn’t be efficient if we tried to run offense through him?
