Yeah I’m aware they’ve played a bunch of nobodies. Regardless, they’re beating down on a decent Big Ten team right now. Agree completely on Illinois though, they need to get it figured out over there before their season spirals out of control.
If he can’t compete for minutes against JG or Banks then he doesn’t benefit us. Not saying any of these 3 aren’t good players but I don’t see any reason he couldn’t compete from day 1 against those guys.
Also, how does this not get reviewed? I guarantee they checked to make sure he got the shot off in time… couldn’t check the rest of the play? The Rutgers players were standing right there pointing it out too.
I still think that applies with a shot clock, but others may disagree. 30 seconds is enough to get multiple good looks most of the time. If we can get Trayce the ball with a chance to score I’d prefer that over a Geronimo jumpshot with 20 seconds left on the shot clock.
You’re right. This loss is solely on the team, regardless of how bad the refs were. Hopefully the loss is a wake up message for the team and everybody comes ready to play on Wednesday.
