First of all, nothing wrong with the question... discussion point.
He is 66% winning % at FAU and has won 118 games--- the 6 years prior to him being there, FAU had a winning % of 34%... they were 63-124.

But again, and I said this the other day.... Archie Miller couldn't have been more qualified/had won a ton of games when IU hired him.
Which is what scares me about going the mid-major route again. I'd love to swing for the fences and get a Pearl/Beard/Oats but the odds of that aren't great unfortunately it seems. Hard to find proven guys at the P6 level that are willing to leave their current job. Does IU have enough pull still to land a guy like that? We'll see within the next few years I guess...
BTW, I do like the idea of hiring May, there would just be a few calls that I'd make before I go that route.

At this point I just want him to take some accountability. Every game we hear the same old responses “gotta get them over the hump” or “got some good looks tonight but we just gotta hit some shots”. It’s the same thing every time. For once I’d like to hear some originality.
His responses give me no confidence that anything will change next season.

Karma for leaving starters in

It's hard to have good body language when you're down 25.
It started way before that. This group has no mental fortitude and folds at the first sign of adversity

Throw some players in there that at least look like they wanna play. Body language is horrible. They gave up before the second half was halfway over

Are any of our assistant coaches actual coaches? Surely they see our style of play is insane.
I don't think their advice is really taken.. at least that's how it seems

It takes us until January to go to it, then we immediately shelve it after it works.
Not to mention no zoom action? I think I saw it a couple times in the first half and nothing since. I just don't get it

Malik reverting back to his freshman ways of reaching down while defending

This is miserable to watch

why not put Ware in their for a tip in?

We should be counting our blessing to only be down 12 at half time

I envy how Painter gets his guys to buy into a role... instead we have Gunn throwing up a shot the first touch he gets and Reneau/Ware/Sparks forcing up dumb shots with 3 guys draped over them

Can we try something different defensively with the top of the key ball screen action? That's their bread and butter right now

How the f is that a block? Sure it was a flop lol but that's a textbook charge

why try that Ware?
Gotta have cutters when we post Ware on Edey. He's just not strong enough to go at him 1 on 1

Offense looks good so far... gotta try to limit their offense. Easier said than done

Anyone planning on going to the Pacers Warriors game tomorrow in Indy to watch TJD?

I think you’re pretty accurate in how you’re remembering things.
The Kansas game in particular sticks out to me. I know Trey had a really good game in that one. There was a lot of similar action in that clip you shared. The Kansas game didn’t end up how we wanted but it was arguably one of the better games we’ve played this season.

Want to see a lot more of this action down the stretch.I almost brought up using more zoom action a couple weeks ago. Earlier in the season we were really successful getting Trey into that zoom action and DHO’s but I seemed like we got away from that and opted for a more stagnant “throw it into Malik” approach. Not sure how accurate my memory is on that but that’s how it felt to me. This action so much more dynamic and a lot harder to guard.

Yes, read them all. The first few were ones I picked at random. After realizing I liked them, I read the rest in order. A few of them do reflect back in time. While not necessary to read them in order, I prefer to do it that way just so it is easier knowing which ones I've read, which one to look for next, etc. My wife has read them all as well and likes the series as much as I do. As I've said before, the last few seem like they were written in more of a hurry to crank out books and my interest is waning as a result. Tom Cruise in the movie was a mistake but I've been pleased with the streaming series.
Thanks for the info. Funny thing about the streaming series… I went to go watch it thinking I was watching the first season. I somehow made it halfway through the final episode of the second season before I realized it wasn’t the first season. Not my brightest moment lol

You have 8 teams between 6-5 and 5-6
Yeah just like last year there’s insane group of mediocrity in the middle of the conference. There’s really only 3 good teams and the rest are either terrible or NIT level good. I could see Northwestern or Nebraska (if they get some road wins) squeaking their way into the tournament I guess.
