Michigan and Michigan State both have worse splits at home, which is surprising.

We actually have a bigger differential than Purdue, which I think will surprise a lot of folks.

Nebraska interestingly has the biggest home/away differential it looks like. Which makes their 6-0 record at home in conference and 0-6 record on the road in conference make a lot of sense.

  2. Using the tool @Maedhros mentioned, I found a couple mid major guys that can really shoot from deep based on stats. Koby Brea from Dayton and Erik Reynolds II from St. Joe's are two guys that stood out. Brea doesn't start but gets starter minutes (27 mpg)... could be a good bench piece behind Gallo? He's in his fourth season currently but he is listed as a Jr

These two play head-to-head tomorrow night at 8 on CBSSN if anyone wants to watch.

Damn, @ledies22 you got me listening to that podcast again. He gave some interesting general numbers at the end that I might've missed the first time.

He said in a typical game there's an average of 140 possessions, usually averaging 6 missed calls per game. Approximately 2 per ref. The conference does send officials tapes of these missed calls. Sometimes, the officials aren't even in the position to see the infraction. Typical there's 6 to 7 camera angles of the missed calls; many times only 1 of those angles will actually capture the bad call. Even so, if they see an official is missing 5 calls in a game (for example), they'll sit down and have a talk with him. If it's a pattern, they'll give them less games the next year.

Maybe this is what happened to Scrote.

Can’t help but wonder what the conference says about the Purdue game (especially after last night). I’d have to guess they don’t see an issue with it since we see the same thing game after game

Why didn't Hawkins stupid ass just catch the ball? That's usually what I do when someone passes me the ball, compared to letting it smoke me in the chops.

That review the other night was a joke. Smart play by X..... wow that was something I haven't had to type much. lol

Lmao, seriously. And then he tried to play the tough guy act for 2 seconds

NW gives up a ton of free throws and doesn’t take many. They take a lot of jumpers and don’t have a legit big guy down low to draw fouls and shoot free throws. At face value, the discrepancy looks bad but diving deeper, it’s not that far off. Collins said before the game he was going to use all 15 fouls for his bigs and then got mad that they were called.  Game isn’t close if we shoot like we normally do from the line though.

Purdue also took a ton of jumpers. 27 3 point attempts for NW and 21 by Purdue. Sure they took several mid range jumpers too but don’t act like that’s all NW did. Regardless, that shouldn’t result in a 30+ FT margin. The difference is one team is allowed to be physical and the other isn’t

Game was over when Reneau fouled out, but surprised it was that close when you go 0-9 from 3, 12-22 at the FT line, and get doubled up on the offensive boards 14-7.

On another note Gunn and Banks didn’t see the floor….anybody think they’re back next year?

Banks no shot… I think I heard he wanted to leave last season but his parents made him stay? Idk maybe I’m making that up in my head but I think I heard that. Gunn maybe but probably not back
