Right, there already are consequences rather or not they have to sit out a year. They're young adults, they should be able to move around as they fit.
And as young adults they should know that there are rules and regulations, and if the NCAA says you have to sit out a year then those are the rules.

I just read his bio on ESPN. It said he was considered one of the best 3 point shooters in the ACC. He is a 5’10” G. He was a sophomore so he wouldn’t be just a one year guy.
Don't like the fact that he is 5'10" but it is probably not that BIG of a deal. IU could definitely use his 3 point shooting though.

You don't think having to uproot your life to transfer is a consequence?
If anyone here has changed jobs because the situation they were in just wasn't working out for one reason or another, you know that even if there is no "gap" in your ability to work there is still tons of stress and anxiety with that situation. Why should me make it worse for student athletes that aren't even getting paid?
I'm not sure what you are going on about, but i was responding to this "So you want consequences to them deciding they made a mistake". All I was saying when you make a mistake there usually is consequences, so you proved my point. Thanks for that lol. 👍

I actually think Race’s decision may foretell what TJD is going to do. If Race leaves it’s possible there’s a greater chance TJD stays.
It would be great to have both back, with Duncomb and Brunk IU could have a pretty decent frontcourt.

Most of the time when you make a mistake there is consequences.

But I'm not going to ever be in the camp of cool.....wish you the best of luck at Purdue or Kentucky or Illinois or Ohio St.
This is were I am at, if a player transfers to one of these schools, minus Ohio State, they are a rival now and I will never cheer for them. Most schools I would say cool good luck unless you play IU.
I have family in Michigan and they are fans of the Wolverines so they replace the Buckeyes lol.

I like the idea of bringing Isaiah Thomas on board as an assistant coach. He has connections throughout the Midwest and grew up in Chicago. He still connects well with players, including the younger generation. He carries a marquee name and has one at the highest levels.
I like Zeke but no thank you on bringing him on board.

Can’t he transfer without penalty technically?
I'm not sure how that works

Goode might be a different story.
The Illini hate us as much as the Toiletmakers do so he would be hard to get also.

LOL. No problem. My kids go to Silver Creek with Trey, and I had a hard time imaging him doing that, let alone 2 days before he plays for a State Championship.
It wasn't well thought out on my part lol. Purdue would never let him out of his LOI for us.

Where are you seeing this?
I think it was on the April Fools sight.
I might have went for a little to obvious one lol.

I see they have also contacted Kaufmann, that would be huge to get him to flip.

I wonder who will fall for all the Brad Stevens to IU tweets today.
As bad as Boston is playing there might still be a few lol.

If bugs can shoot outside, I am not leaving my house this summer.
If our bugs can shoot I sure don't want ones from a portal either. 😁

I’m a lot less worried about our Big man depth if we can keep him and TJD.
Honestly I’ve always like our guys and mostly just think their system was junk. We need to improve guard play but an impact transfer or two and getting out guys out of the portal could be huge.
I like our bigs but man we need one of them to develop an outside shot or get one in the portal that can.

They probably will contact Nunge from Iowa. If he could stay healthy would be nice for some depth.

I hope he stays because I think he has some pretty good potential.

Does anyone have a list of people IU has reached out to in the portal?
Noah Locke from Florida is one I think IU has contacted.

It's looking pretty good on Coach Woodson retaining some guys. I would guess that Geronimo will be the most likely to leave.

Remains firmly committed to IU after speaking with Coach Woodson yesterday. Very good starting block.
That's great to hear. 👍

So should we assume Parker Stewart is staying?
I would imagine there is a very good chance of that now.

I don't really think their games resemble each other much at all. I played against Hulls 4 or 5 times. He was a shooter, even in his HS games. Dee Davis would be a good comparison to Smith, I think.
Hopefully he is someone that Coach Woodson prioritizes, whoever he compares to lol.

This kid seems like he could be a Jordy Hulls type player. Would be a nice get.

Transfer Portal......and LeBron James and other off season tangents.

Yeah they might never change them or they might keep the free agency. It's the NCAA so you never know what they might do lol.
I do on somethings, so if you were trying to insult me it failed.
