Attention: The Martian Has Landed!!! New call-up, Jasson Dominguez, got called up as part of the youth movement. Last night, in his first at bat, he swats a 2 run home run off Justin Verlander to give the Yankees a 3-1 lead!! The kid is only 20 years old and the Yanks had signed him to a $1.5 million dollar contract when he was just 16!! The Yankees, behind the pitching by Carlos Rodon, won 6-2 over the Asstroles and Verlander (how saweet it is)!!! There were 4 home runs hit by the Bronx Bombers, Stanton, Judge, Le Mahieu, and Dominguez all hit dingers. The other new call-up, catcher Austin Wells, went 1 for 4! In a September batting order I could not have thought of, the Yanks had Everson Pereira in LF, he's 22, Oswald Peraza, 23, was 2nd base, and Anthony Volpe who made history the other night by going 20-20 this season is a rookie. I would say the future is looking pretty good. In other Yankees news, with Judge hitting a home run, he is now the fastest player to hit 250 homers. He has hit 30 so far, considering he missed almost 2 months due to injury. Not too shabby. Carry on with the NL stuff.....

Yanks lost today in 10 innings to Detroit. But there was history made today when Yankee Anthony Volpe, became the first rookie in Yankee history to go 20-20 when he hit his 20th homer of the season to go with 20 stolen bases. Volpe did it in dramatic fashion as he smacked a 3 run home run in the top of the 9th with 2 outs to tie the game at 3!! When you think of Yankee history, that's pretty incredible.... took this off the Yankee web-site...

Hey Reds fans, looks like they have acquired ex-Yankee, Harrison Bader off waivers. They got a good one. Also in the news it looks like the Brewers are interested in recently released ex-Yankee Josh Donaldson! Ironic, 2 ex-Yanks playing for playoff contenders.....

Yes sir! They actually got a series win!! That hasn't happened in quite some time But now the Yanks start a series against the Assstros...

Yes just getting ready to post this. I liked Bader, good centerfielder and was hitting around .240. His problem was staying healthy. I'm sure some team will pick him up

Breaking News.... Yanks 3rd basemen, Josh Donaldson, who was due to come off the IL, has been released. This indicates the Yankees are going to get younger and will play Peraza. Anyone need an experienced, over the hill, 3rd basemen?? One of the worst trades Cashman has made, JMO....

If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were talking about the Yankees!! In last night's game against Detroit, the first 8 batters all struck out!! But the Yanks did manage a 4-1 win with Severino pitching a decent game no less. I think Severino was auditioning for other teams as I don't think he will be back in New York next year, JMO.

Reitz looks like the team to beat down here in our part of the state. I think they are on a mission, especially after getting upset in the sectionals by Boonville last year... I must say I was surprised by the Castle vs. Mater Dei score. The games between these two usually come down to a few points, but not this time. You have to know MD coach Mike Goebel was not happy.

Notre Dame played like they were ready to make some noise in CFB this season. The ND QB transfer from Wake Forest looked like he was auditioning to play for a team on Sundays. His passes were accurate and on target.
