Just now, IU Scott said:
No more corner blitzes because the WR is uncovered
I think I made a comment about Layne rotating over just a bit ago. Sigh…
-
IMO, Layne isn’t doing a very good job of rotating over when we blitz the corner.

Went from 1st and ten inside the 15 to 3rd and 32. How is that a personal foul on Bedford
It’s not. That was complete BS.

Yep. I keep hearing how loaded their frosh are.

Maybe the biggest upset of last night (at least in the Indy area) was Lawrence Central beating Warren Central?

Anyone concerned the season starts in 12 days and the secret scrimmage with Cinncy was canceled because we didnt have enough healthy bodies to play? Why is it every year we have a bunch of kids hurt? Is it the strength staff? Going to hard in practice?
No.

I went to the Cincinnati game earlier this year, and did not have to offer any proof of vaccination.
I was at the MSU game last weekend and nobody was asking then either.

Apparently the ladies picked up a commitment today? Lexus Bargesser. 4* kid from Michigan ranked as the #67 overall recruit by ESPN in the 2022 class.

In High School, the tournament starts tonight and this week for girls. Biggest game tonight in the SIAC is, host Evansville Memorial vs North, as Memorial tries to avenge their regular season lost. Why is this game big? A loss to North tonight would end the Evansville Memorial Soccer Dynasty for the last 17 years:
17 straight Sectional Championships (state record)
14 Regionals
9 Semi-States
6 State titles
HUGE game up in the Indy area. #1 ranked and two time defending state champ Noblesville goes to #3 Hamilton Southeastern tonight. The two played to a scoreless draw last week.

I’m sorry but Penix has to pick that up. Don’t go down. Get that first down.

Apparently UC fans are taking over the Bell Tower lot for tailgating, wherever that is
Corner of 17th and Jordan? There used to be a bell tower there.

Fickell?
Oh who knows. Won’t know for months. Heck, I heard one rumor that James Franklin would be very interested if the job came open. It’s going to be an interesting and long three months for the USC fans.

My daughter is a student and she sat with me on the home side due to dad's weekend. I told her it was the best student section I'd ever seen at an IU football game. They were great!

They tested positive, yes. None were from close contact though.. admittedly maybe she told me that mid April and something happened later on? That could be.
For a veryyy long time in the school year not a single close contact (a lot) were positive.
That's simply my issue... we aren't spreading it during our sports. Quarantine who needs quarantine and let's move on in that aspect.
Now you show me more data that, just because my guys are dressing together/practicing together as a solid reason this things spreading... hey let's find some more strict measures.
Unless you can do that.. my stance will not change. And that has to be on a consistent basis.. not an outlier.
I know you weren't saying anything, necessarily, to contradict any of that. Just wanted to better explain myself, in general.
Yep. I get what you are saying there. My only issue was what the student said. And if I misinterpreted that and the student was saying there was no close contact spreading then that’s my fault. I have no data on that one.

See Btown's response.
If you know something more I'd love to know! When people talk in absolutes there usually is a crack in there somewhere. Just relaying information from the ground level.
Agree with you on the absolutes, especially when coming from teenagers! Ha! Probably the only thing I should say is I know for sure some have been positive. That’s as close as I want to get to ferpa. Beyond that, I’m not sure there is anything I know. I do know btown’s wife just a little bit though. Sorry she left!

The golf cart kid at the course last night is in school at Noblesville....I asked him what he's hearing. He said with the contract tracing rules as they stand it's just a matter of time before elearning starts up and who knows impact on the field....and to your point he said dozens and dozens have been sent home and not one was positive.
Not one was positive? I can tell you with 100% certainty that is not true. That said, he may very well be right on the elearning part of that. One of the middle schools is already on that.

I guess for me is it is not really just this one game. But we go from 6-1 last year to 0-5 this year and look like a completely different team with mostly the same group of players. Yes we have a new DC. Yes we lost a couple of guys to the NFL and to injuries. But most teams have to go through that. I won’t point fingers at one particular thing. I’m just frustrated with the entire product I see.
