Is it that much different than getting bought to go to a traditional power?
Hopefully more money flows into these schools and they can compete on the national stage.
Nope, it's not at all. I guess I don't see a difference between this and what people don't like about Duke and Kentucky.

I will cheer harder for a kid to succeed that goes HBCU than a kid that goes to Duke or Kentucky, that is for sure.
I would too. IF that's just where they wanted to go. But this young man was bought pure and simple.

So everyone is in now except Cooper who we wait on per the above comment. And now we wait on Bailey and James to see if something happens later today. Rivals site says James is announcing tonight at 7:00. Is that about right?

Looks like the two DL transfers from Ole Miss are signed. As is Bradley Jennings, the LB transfer from Miami.

Tevis?
He is a DL transfer from Cal. Was Honorable Mention all Pac-12.

Who hasn't signed yet? I think Omar Cooper and the big OT out of Ohio are still not signed, but who else am I missing?

Who's going to play those MIC schools in football?
That’s a great question. They often play HCC schools but with two additions the HCC schools won’t have any openings.

No clue how it's going to play out....and the impact on other sports namely hoops. Heard some rumblings since this past fall and don't want to put more out than I think Carmel...and maybe CG wanted to avoid some things at some of the schools. Guess I'll just leave it at that.
You and I have heard vastly different things. I was told this was initiated by Carmel and CG and they are running to something, not away. Not saying what I heard was correct. But I heard about this happening during the first week of August so I don’t think any events this fall had anything to do with it.

You can erase the football one now
For sure. And maybe hoops too.

HCC is definitely growing bigger than the MIC
In my opinion they already were in every sport except football and basketball.

Have you heard why?
I’ve heard whispers as far back as August that this was all but a done deal then, but I don’t know why for sure.

Carmel and Center Grove have been voted out of the MIC. Expected to join the HCC maybe as early as tomorrow.
There have been rumblings about this for months.

I know many on here only care about the men’s team but the ladies just dismantled 20th ranked OSU at OSU.

Agree to disagree. I think AOC has built a case to be number 2 behind Stroud.
If you weren’t such a homer you’d feel different. This isn’t about a season’s worth of stats.

“These kids were born during a time of war and they still chose to go to Army and Navy.”
Damn. Kinda gets ya.
I love watching this game!- 4

This.... made my day a lot better. Shew.
So, let's hypothetically envision Bedord and Carpenter being two well above average guys at C and RG.. thats a start right?
Is it possible that Bedford could move back to tackle?

I hear what you're saying, though Clifford is in a completely different class then Peyton Ramsey. His arm is much, much better. Don't get me wrong I like IU football too, but there's a reason one was recruited to PSU and one to IU.
He's been a starter at PSU for 3 years now and has two years with 20+ TD's and 7 or less INT's. He'll throw for over 3,000 yards this year after the Bowl game.
I think he's a guy that will get drafted. Not super high, but I think he will get drafted.
I agree w most of that. Maybe we are categorizing things a bit different. When you said next tier below first round pick, I think rounds 2-4. I don’t think he’s there. But I can easily see him as a later pick and would be surprised if he wasn’t drafted at all. I wasn’t trying to knock Clifford. Sorry if you took it that way. Again, more of a comment on the conference as a whole.

No. I’d take Clifford.

I'm going to guess you didn't watch a lot of PSU this year?
He's really good. Not great, but really good. Who is better besides OSU's QB?
Oh that’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is if he is the second best our conference has to offer, I don’t think the conference has many quality QBs. To me he is tough and reminds me of Peyton Ramsey. And that’s a compliment. But I don’t think he’s quite good enough to be in that next tier below a first round pick.

If Clifford is the second or even third best QB in the conference then I’d say the conference has a QB problem.
