i have a question and maybe it's stupid so be nice. Does anyone think Lander would play better if he was playing with Race, TJD, Stewart and XJ/Kopp on the floor. On both ends. Would he be better defensively if he had much better off ball help? If he was playing the 2 instead of Point? I can't say i have ever watched him play with the starters. Thought?

What did he do to get suspended? Was it the devils lettuce? Underage drinking? Girls in the dorm?

We haven't really played anyone and collapsed in the second half and almost lost the St Johns game. Keep winning and we will make the top 25. I am ok if we stay just out of it for now. Keep these kids hungry and a chip on their shoulder. We have 2 more cupcakes and then things start getting real

I honestly don't know how to say this without coming off like a jerk so please take this as an honest question/observation. Do you have something against Kristian Lander? Is he from your hometowns rival school? From your kids rival school? Have you heard or know something about him that isn't public? It just feels like you really don't like this kid and refuse to post anything that remotely could be construed as be positive toward him. I can't say i even remember you being this critical of any player in the past. Not that i remember every post you ever posted. And please understand i am just asking without any judgement or skin in the game. I live in Iowa and mostly only get to follow IU basketball through here. I am still not sold on how good we are. We can't seem to put a full 40 minutes together. At some point a quality opponents are going to take advantage of that. We still don't shoot very well and TO, although down are still and issue. I hope by the time we get to B1G play, we have matured as a program more, but i still think we're a 6-9 finish in the B1G. Please don't get me wrong, i like this team, coach and players much better than i did the last 4 years. I actually get a bit excited again, at least in the first half of most games.

I would like to see Lander get 15-20 minutes over the next 3 games to see if he brings anything more than what we can see in the 5 minutes he gets. We know what Rob brings so if we can spare the minutes for Lander, i don't see how that hurts anything. Maybe with more time and confidence he blooms. Maybe he busts and he is what he is. But he does need to be given an opportunity and the next 3 games are an ideal time to try that. I wouldn't be saying this if we were in the middle of the B1G season. If he doesn't show anything then Rob is our only answer and we get what we get with Rob.

I did, in the first game i thought he played well enough in the first half to start. But then when he played in the second half he stunk it up. I stand corrected.

Is Leal hurt? Is he getting any playing time? Anyone think he might transfer if he doesn't get any this year?

Finishing at the rim, not coaching fault. Making Free throws, not a coaching fault. Missing wide open 3 point shots, not a coaching fault. Dribbling endlessly around the key, sure we can blame that on CAM. Dribble driving into double teams and floor vision, could be coaching fault. Defensive aggressiveness and tenacity, combination of coaching and natural talent. There is some things that can be blamed on coaching. But some of these are things he should be able to do regardless of who is coaching. Shooting Free Throws is all on him. Making open shots, all on him. Finishing at the rim, especially for someone with his elevation, on him and coaching. The problem with rob, is even if you take him off the point, he still can't score for you like you want and makes terrible decisions with the ball when he has it. On the good side though, he can be a pretty above average defender who is aggressive and tenacious. He should be a matchup or in desperate need sub. He shouldn't be the first PG off the bench. Our defense is pretty good without him on the floor, but our offense is worst when he is. Scoring wins games. And we need scorers. I like Rob, thought he was going to be better than he is. Unfortunately, he isn't
