  1. i assume TheWatShot does? They did post and ask the question.
  2. Tarnation is just a southern socially acceptable variation of the "F" word
  3. Oh i agree that College officials are terrible but i think its more because they want to be to much in the game. Where as i feel and i will admit i don't watch NBA regularly, let so much go.
  4. True but for the most part they are all highly talented players. College might have 1 of them on a team and rest are usually never going to make it to the NBA. Its just not the same game either direction you go. And we never take in to account the officiating or whatever they call it at the NBA level that allows for so much more everything.
  5. I'll amend it more. You're never more open than when you push your defender down and the refs let it happen bacause you're an overpaid baby on the court and they don't want to hear it from you for the next 40 minutes.
  6. they are in the NBA for a reason. Most of the starters on every NBA team was at one point the best players on their team or in the country. It is somewhat comparable to college but we're not comparing apples to apples here. You don't make to the nba or the starting rotation by not having good BB IQ or a skillset that makes you a hard matchup.
  7. 5-guys and In&Out Burger are the best places i have been that are chain like joints
  8. For what its worth, i agree with IUFLA on this and i never agree with him. I am more likely to agree with IU Scott, and we know how much we love each other, than with IUFLA. Kopp is a smart kid, can't get into Northwestern without it, and will help with our grade averages and all that. He is a capable shooter who struggled last year. Maybe with 8-10 minutes a game and him not needing to be the sole scorer or being open more will help him out. But this one is a gamble, but i like the pickup never the less
  9. Dakich, don't need a thread for 6,237 people to say the same thing.
  10. If i had to say who was going to leave from our current players, i would rank them like this 1.Hunter 2.Rob P 3.Galloway 4.Lead With the addition of so many shooters, Hunter seems the odd man out. He is a decent shooter but is woefully lacking on the defensive end of the floor. His BBIQ and situational awareness are also lacking at time which led to bad decision made and the worst possible time. If Lander makes a huge jump which could be possible, he takes Rob's minutes which puts him in a bad position with sever better shooters coming in who have experience. Galloway is a hustle guy who isn't particularly great at anything but god does he give you 100% when he is in. Needs to learn to shoot better and finish at the rim stronger but that will come with age and experience. Leal is a fantastic shoot and was one of the first to say he wasn't going anywhere and loved the coaching hire. So my bets are on Hunter going somewhere else.
  11. Did you go in and see what they were doing? What were they working on? Inquiring minds want to know about your inside information
  12. we missed the tourney 5 years straight. We probably shouldn't throw stones. Out house has been made of brittle glass for years. But the way things are trending, if Coach Woodson can coach half as good as he has been in the off season, we should have a much better season this year.
  13. If Shaka Smart was recruiting him, you know he is a tenacious defender
  14. I am sure he wouldn't be quite as impressive against power5 conference players but he looks to have a good motor, quick release and aforementioned jab step. Will be interesting how he does at big school
  15. He's got that jab step back 3 that yogi used to use all the time. No one uses it anymore and its a killer move
  16. That could also be because of the offense X ran vs what we ran last year with AF. Who really know. Completely different coaching styles from all 3 coaches. Tough to lose AF but from the moment that CAM was fired, AF didn't seem to be connected to IU any longer. So i agree he was probably connected to the coach over the school. Tough loss since he seemed to be the kind of kid who would work his tail off each year to get better. And he will be better this year and honestly Bennet should make him even better than what he could do on his own or under CAM
  17. I hope all these returning players have a big developmental gain this year and learn to shoot and hit open shots. This team was a particularly good shooting team, even when they were open. Hoping it was a mental thing connected to CAM and not just really bad shooters.
  18. Not moving the goal posts. Just won't get excited until they prove something. I have been here and excited to many time to fall for it again. Fool me 4 times, shame on me. Not this time. Nope. Going to wait for the to prove it was a good hire and they can win basketball games, or hell, improve players from year to year would even be nice to see. I am very cautiously optimistic. But i will not jump feet first into the this. But i fully expect next year to be similar to this year. It is the same players. The same BBIQ and same inability to shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. As mentioned so many times in the past. The coach can't shoot it for them, just put them in position. And we missed so many open and easy shots. So I will wait. Might make me a bad fan or something. But i will only put my hand in fire like 4 times before i learn. I might be stupid but i am not that stupid
  19. I feel a bit better about him now that he started at a big school and then went to UT Martin. And that he shot better that Pitt than UT Martin. I hope he is as good as advertised.
  20. Interesting. Then his dad passed away and he came to IU. Make more sense now. Thanks
