  1. He looks super quick and fast. Off topic a bit, but I'll never understand why both FB and BB drills don't include another person guarding them? Like who gives a crap if you can make 100 baskets in a row if you can't make two in a row with someone guarding you. Not so sure how helpful any drills are if they don't mimic game play on a certain level. And with football, why don't they ever wear their equipment when working out? Does any football player wear their gear when doing one on one or one on none drills? And why does every basketball team's pre-game warm up consist of shooting around lazily by themselves? I get you want to "warm up" to start, but seems you'd want to ratchet up the intensity a bit before the game starts. Seems like common sense to me. But what do I know.
  2. I’m sure he’d consider Indiana. He’s also from Ohio, so he’s be closer to home.
  3. Who was “thinking” how Cuban should spend his money? Was saying he could, not should.
  4. Although rich, I doubt Mellencamp has the kinda cash to pay one player a hefty amount. Cuban? Yes. Yes he does. I am still not a big fan of this regardless of the player. If they are that good, in essence you're going to be paying a guy for one year. Not sure what kinda of agreements you can make with these kids, like make them stay for three years for such and such money. I would support doing what Texas did for their o-line, pay each kid a certain amount. But to give one kid a ton of cash for one year? I'll pass.
  5. Not sure if he was hurt? But he seemed to get less and less playing time throughout his career.
  6. My comment was kinda lame. I actually liked a lot of what I saw. Well built, nice throwing motion, fluid running style (like he won't blow out a knee), seems to have have a strong arm and more. He basically just seemed unprepared, overwhelmed, and afraid to let it loose. At times you could sense he was throwing with too much touch (opposite of Penix) instead of just firing away. I really hope he stays because he is oozing with potential.
  7. Agree. And can take a hit. What I do like about McCulley is he looks to be better built that Penix.
  8. I don't see why either would leave early to be honest, unless they just are not having a good time, want to play in Poland, or get a real job?
  9. Seems like we're at 82 currently?: https://hoosierhuddle.com/hoosier-blog/indiana-football-scholarship-breakdown-after-the-early-signing-period/2021/12/17
  10. I think CTA said they could bring in 35? But I am not sure where I read that
  11. IU has paper thin margin of error if they want to go bowling year in year out. I think they will have outlier years more than they did in the past though, so that could be exciting and super depressing (this year).
  12. I agree with you 100% but rather have guys/classes with higher ceilings and floors then not.
  13. It'll be weird for him beating PU, then getting beat by PU, then getting beat by IU.
  14. It'll be that much sweeter when we beat them next year.
  15. Get used to this. Especially with kids this age who are used to switching high schools. The grass is very rarely ever greener though. Lots of moving parts ie learning a new system, culture, teammates etc. Trying to recall any transfer from IU that really blossomed elsewhere. BenJarvus Green-Ellis comes to mind, but he did really well here too. Not saying it doesn't happen, but if you're not starring at IU, you're most likely not going to go to PU and shine. I wonder if CTA's rah rah stuff gets old? 2-10 will definitely test your character. But like someone mentioned in this thread or another, some of these kids are truly rolling the dice. I would assume as many that do get an "offer" do not. I am sorry to see Reese go, but if you're leaving to go to PUke, you can fUKe off.
  16. I don't think we'll see any realignment until new schools are added.
  17. PLEASE SAVE THE MONEY. He shouldn't touch that cash (most of it) until he moves on to the next stage of his life. Same with rookies in pro sports, it seems like a lot of money until you blow it all and never make much again. It can go really fast if you're not smart and just start buying houses. I pray to baby Jesus these kids get financial help and put the $$$ into a trust or something. This won't be any different than rookies blowing all their money before they play their first game. They're in major debt before they get their first paycheck.
  18. He had some big time offers. IU wasn't even in his top 5 in May. What happened here?
