Very curious to see who they put Kopp on defensively and who guards Edey between TJD and Race. Kopp can’t stay with their guards/wing and Edey is just a flat out matchup problem for us.

The discrepancy from 247 to “Composite” leads me to believe he’s missing some evaluations. There’s no way actual opinions on this kid vary that much. Correct me if I’m wrong but 247 has Hoover rated higher than anyone else also.

Yea, I’ve seen him get lost off the ball, not know what to do off screens and ineffectively go for shot blocks which puts him out of position for the rebound.

I don’t know what his buyout was and this is purely a guess, but I think CTA told him “This isn’t working out but we can’t afford to pay your buyout. Therefore if you want to jump ship, go ahead and we’ll let you leave because we don’t plan to resign you after next season.” There’s zero chance UNC/Warren paid to get out of his contract when they already have Gene Chizik. For Warren, this is a demotion and almost definitely a pay cut. Warren inherited one of the best returning/accomplished defenses in the BigTen and completely sh*t the bed. Whether or not it was his fault, I can’t say but from my novice vantage point he made all the wrong moved in terms of schemes and situational adjustments.

I’m hoping for a MSU like turnaround with all these new additions.
