  1. We've been recruiting at an all-time best by far, but we need to develop those players.
  2. It will take a great game from IU and some good luck to win. We've been inconsistent all season though we have showed some promise. Although Cincy has lost a lot from a team that made the playoff, they are still very good. They develop their players. They have a long home winning streak. It could be a long day for the Hoosiers.
  3. Can't change pages even on my computer.
  4. He's sure become a beloved TV star on Law and Order: SVU the next generation.
  5. If we go on recent history of B1G, it's OSU and the next best record.
  6. This team was KenPom #24 on defense last season. I expect them to be in the top 10 this year. Some say that JSH was the best defender in his HS class. I expect the ball pressure to be relentless with X and JSH. We will get points directly from our defense this coming season. I think we will have enough offensive improvement to justify our high expectations.
  7. I was thinking of the squid when I wrote my post, but I refrained from a comparison. As you point out CMW has the NBA background and record that the squid doesn't. Plus I think CMW's personality and ability to relate to kids is a big advantage for him.
  8. They are screwing up so the fans are forced to stay to the end of the game!
  9. WKU has to ask Santa for a place kicker this Christmas.
  10. Punt was a weapon there. Should've punted on the other 4th down especially v. WK offense.
  11. Whew! When you make Woody honorary captain, you get Defense!
  12. Got 3, but got to score inside the 20. This might not work v. W.Ky. and certainly not B1G teams.
  13. I think what we see here is the unfolding of AD Dolson's blueprint for the return of IU's basketball program -- i.e., develop a program that plays an NBA style to attract NBA talent which will eventually win big. In retrospect it's hard to think of a coach more qualified than Mike Woodson to do that. He has deep ties to IU and Indiana not only through basketball but just his connections with people here in the state. Chief among those connections is one to an old man who used to work at IU and now lives in retirement in the Bloomington area. He is highly qualified to teach and coach the NBA style as he's coached there at the highest levels for over a quarter of a century. He may be the best coach of defense in the college game. He clearly commands respect from HS NBA level prospects with his background, and he has the skill to relate to people in general especially young men who aspire to play in the NBA. I think his personality traits are what marks him for success in his job as coach. This is a very stable, even-keeled but motivated guy who sees the big picture and can put his ego in check to reach his and IU's goals in basketball. He has assembled an excellent staff for recruiting. He's going where the NBA talent is -- i.e., basketball factories like Monteverde. Now can he make it work on the court.
  14. Great game he has. Think he could become good shot blocker off the ball with some development. Really long with potential to be defensive stopper.
  15. Offense can't finish even v. FBS team.
  16. 8 B1G teams in. The most of any conference. B1G still has lots of depth even if top teams might be down.
  17. Back in the day Rio Grande used to get Bevo Francis more shots by immediately fouling the opponents after they inbounded after a made basket.
  18. He's H-U-N-G-R-Y man. Let him S-A-L-I-V-A-T-E!
  19. Yes, saw that. A little weird. But both are obviously interested as they have made several visits and they aren't even sophs.
  20. Anybody see the Johnny Bench interview for FoD game? It was great. ARod and crew tried to duplicate JB's feet of holding 7 baseballs at one time. They didn't do well. This game is a really great idea.
