You seem to be putting more effort and thought into yours than I did ha. I just used 18 guage nails (1.25 inches length). The wood is lighter weight...and 3/8 inch thick...so it is not the heavy duty "real barn wood" that would require securing it better. I will try to dig out a pic of our last house where we redid the fireplace with stone and shiplap...I used the same method for similar weight/sized shiplap and it held up great. You can use adhesive too...but I like my nail gun better šŸ˜€

I tend to overthink things so thatā€™s expected. I wouldā€™ve made it easier but having the grooves complicated it.Ā

I think Iā€™ll just use the nail gun with 5/8ā€ brads dice itā€™s just 1/4ā€ plywood.Ā

    The fireplace looks great!

We bought it. It is a smallish/half bath and it is dark in the room...the pic is not great, but it is a white/gray color and matches vanity top and brightens room up some.Ā  I'm currently working on some open closets/shelving areas to give it more of a custom look. Like I mentioned before....I hate painting, but I don't mind doing projects like this or flooring. I can break out the tools, drink a few beers, and the wife is happy so it is win-win ha.

How did you attach them to the wall? Iā€™m planning to use 18g brads. Weā€™re looking to butt them against each other but have darker browns and reds.Ā
I bought some sheets of luan plywood to make it all. I routed grooves but realized weā€™d have some ugly seems. Since then Iā€™ve cut along the grooves and used a router with a trim bit (no table saw) to get clean, parallel edges.Ā

Put up the "shiplap" on one wall in the main floor half bath. My wife picked it out...I just had to do all the work ha. I actually don't mind doing these types of projects and it keeps her happy! Picture is not too great. I just need to put back the toilet paper holder and touch up some paint.

    Looks good!
Did you buy actual shiplap or make it yourself?

Iā€™m currently working on (or dragging out) something like this. Iā€™ll post some pictures when itā€™s done. Iā€™m glad to see how good it looks when itā€™s finished.Ā

446 is nice and clear šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ beautiful on game days.Ā

That is a beautiful drive in the fall.Ā
    Clear on the other hand...

    Ā

The best part of the back roads from down hereĀ is there is usually some other game day traffic to stick with. Iā€™ve gone pretty quick just to keep up.Ā

  5. Iā€™m checking up to see when our tickets are ordered. We go in with someone else so itā€™s a little more involved.Ā
    Ā

We also come from the south and have gotten the pregame routine ironed out pretty well. We always take 60 north and thenĀ 37 into town.Ā

Nice.Ā  Born and raised near st joe rd and allentown.Ā  I've been bloomington or north for the last 20 years.Ā Ā

Now thinking back, we may have had this conversation over the years and I forgot.Ā  Lol

I know that area. The whole time Iā€™ve been here weā€™ve lived by The Chicken House/St Joe East.Ā

Girls 3A State Championship Final Score

    Silver Creek - 54

    SB Washington - 48

There has definitely been some excitement in the area.Ā I noticed signs around local companies this week. I was in a nearby town during the game and heard someone in the parking lot listening to the game with his windows down. Then I went across the street to the liquor store where the game was on.Ā

    Great win!

Well I was always pretty certain that we never had a prayer at Garcia.Ā  That seemed like Garland all over again.Ā  Just a recruit using Archie to get attention.Ā  But Trey was an in state recruit that we had to land and were also the clear front runner all along until the last minute.Ā  Ā

I donā€™t think this is true. I may be missing something, butĀ havenā€™t seen anything that makes me believe it.Ā

Unless something changes I don't see Cal going another 2 full seasons down in the Bluegrass. Might be wise to keep saying hello to this kid off and on regardless of his dream school offer.Ā

Think that will be a decision he makes himself or one thatā€™s made for him?

    Ā

I think itā€™s worth keeping in contact regardless. You never know what will happen.Ā

Whop is AWFULLY excited for Fryfogle to come back.Ā

I noticed that, too. Iā€™m not sure if it means much but it canā€™t be bad.Ā

This team talked a lot about being close and theyā€™re showing it with how many guys are coming back. I still expect some transfers but Iā€™m surprised none have come out and so many guys were quick to return.Ā
