It’s strange. BA stouts never used to be readily available so I always drank more imperial stouts. Lately you can get BA Stouts all the time, even during the summer. And I love the fact that I can go to the store and just grab a KBS off the shelf instead of waiting in line for one.

All that said, due to the availability of BA stouts it’s been quite a while since I’ve had a straight up imperial. My drinking habits completely flip flopped. Last week I grabbed a 10w-40 and forgot how much I enjoyed them. First one I’ve had in forever.

Haven’t had 10w-40 but I’ll have to look for it. I judge ba stouts on New Holland Dragon’s Milk. It’s well priced, easily available, and tasty.

Dont drink anymore but Narwhal and Russian Imperial Stouts were my bag. Along with Sierra Nevadas Bigfoot.

I have a few Bigfoots but haven’t had one in a while. Last weekend we did 5 years of KBS.

The imperial and barrel aged stouts are great.

  3. I didn’t see any BCBS yet this year. I usually go to a store that does a raffle to decide order of picking the different beers they have. That was cancelled due to COVID and they just asked people not to line up as they opened. People did and sold out before I got there.

I have another place that thinks they’ll get some still this year and a place I haven’t checked that still has 2019.

I have bottles of 17, 8, and 19 in the basement, but only the originals.

You probably win the game if you had your 2 best guards. They wouldn’t of turned you over near as much. With that being said when all the injures happened to IU during Romeos freshmen year nobody wanted to acknowledge that. And it wasn’t  just 2 guards. Dang near the whole team for most of the season.

This is always my response. A season of constant injuries at IU means Archie isn’t a good enough coach to overcome adversity. Two guys out at PU deserves an asterisk.

I don't have any good ideas for things that are legal that you can grow in your garage!

I'm going to start growing some sprouts this weekend.  I've tried it in the past with mixed results, so I finally bought trays for growing them in.  Should work better than the Rubbermaid container I've used in the past!

They're really nutrient rich, and I like that they only take a few days to be ready to eat.  You can keep trying different sprouts all the time to see what you like best.

Do you grow Brussels sprouts? That sounds interesting to try.

Figures this thread would pop up when I have to leave. To answer your question...yes. I always look for steals/deals.....especially jewelry when people or heirs don't know what they have. With what gold prices are doing the meltdown values are high. Just a few weeks ago I went to an estate sale in my aunt's neighborhood here in town. Offered $50 for a box of what they called old jewelry junk. Took it to a jeweler and melt down value was $475 or so. Easy loot.

Cars are a  tricky one because so many will show up to buy cars at estate auctions. I don't do all the sales/auctions during these times but in our normal world I'd hit 2-3 per month just to take a peak. I've also bought lawnmowers, blowers.....great yard tools for pennies on the dollar. People just want the stuff gone.

How do you determine what jewelry is valuable? I’ve never looked closely at it.

I finally started Schitt’s Creek. The characters on that show are absolutely hilarious.

Also, I got a free year of Apple Plus and Ted Lasso is really a great show. Funny and uplifting in a corny but good way. Highly recommend, especially for a board full of sports fans.

I really liked Schitt’s Creek. It drew me in over the first few seasons.

I bought a 12 fall pack of Sam Adams yesterday and a voodoo ranger 12 pack mixed. Had a pumpkin Sam Adams last night that hit the spot.

Keep the recommendations coming...I am intrigued by the sour beers especially and fall beers...

For pumpkin beers I like Dogfishhead Punkin Ale and Schlafly’s pumpkin beer.

Another unique fall one is rauchbier. Schlenkerla is a good one but the style is pretty tough to find. It’s a German smoked beer.

To be honest, I don't know...I picked Honor AP because one of our horses is (distantly) related to him, and Major Fed because I work for the Federal Government.

    I know...Real scientific stuff... :)

That’s the way I choose horses. We do jackpots for every race so we’re invested in it more than normal.

Per my eye, that tree has been well beyond questionable for 2-3 years at least. Put that ole girl to rest, She done.

I'm surprised that your Tomato plant's don't have more foliage (even considering the worm). do you have any holes drilled in your buckets for excess water to leak out? I'm not saying that they should or shouldn't, I'm trying to draw a correlation to a new method I tried this year.

Also, how much direct sun to those M'aitter's get a day?

Yes it has been dead a while now. We’re putting a fence in so it needs to go before it breaks a part of it.

The tomatoes get some sun but not a ton. Do they need full sun?

  11. I have both landscaping and gardening going on.

This tree is coming down. We’re putting in a fence and it is too dead to trust. I got one part done, but I’ll need a ladder for the rest.

My tomato plants are holding on. One was eaten by the worm I posted and has recovered. I have 4 tomatoes but none are ripe. I’m impressively bad at growing things.
