Agree but at the time of the draft it wasn't so apparent that OG would be this good.  Also he was coming off a knee injury. Hindsight is always 20/20

Agree on OG. My biggest issue is that they used 1st round picks on guys that couldn’t stay in the NBA.
Kind of strained, but it reminds me of that Colts draft (2013 I think) where every pick was out of the league in a few years. It’s not the individual picks so much as the fact that the franchise completely whiffed.

My guy Tank gave us a scare today. Not necessarily out of the woods, yet, either. Please pray for my wife and Tank.

Tank had a stroke last night and turns 10 years old at the end of this month. Strokes aren't usually as serious in dogs as humans, and it appears that's the case with Tank, but nonetheless he has lost (at least temporarily) some motor skills.

We simply worry about a relapse or whatever.

Anyways.. he's a goooooood dog, shew. Tearing up now.

    Is Tank a mini Aussie?

Was that your quote on Scheyer, because I saw a picture of CMW hugging JHS as he was selected? He did the same as what Scheyer is being lauded for.

Except Woody did it with a …few years on Scheyer a few weeks after knee surgery. I don’t actually know him, but Woody seemed genuinely excited.

I tell myself this about once a week. I won't get ticked off we had this guy in the holster for 20 years.....I won't get ticked off we had this guy in the holster for 20 years.....but thank you Scott Dolson. Coach Woodson is just a perfect guy at the right time for this program. Perfect blend of past to present and I couldn't be happier about him leading the charge.

I just tell myself he hasn’t always had this much experience. 20 years ago He wouldn’t have been this coach.

    That said, 6 years ago…

I’ll admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of the hire initially, but I came around about 8 hours later after hearing some reactions.

Browsing the Boiler's board, I found this...

Where is @Purdue7 to condemn this...this...this travesty! This abomination! Oh, the agony!  ;)

Though I seriously doubt $5 or $10 million dollars a year are in play for Edey, my real thought on the Boiler anguish is...

You suckers are finally getting it :)

I saw something floating around that seemed fake, but this could be different. This definitely raises some questions.
It seems like PU doesn’t have a ton of NIL money, but they’re getting $10 million now?

If he uses his Covid year not at Purdue, is he transferring?

Why would he have to walk on? If they can get him $10 million you’d think they could save a scholarship.

Purdue fans haven’t seemed very happy about NIL. Now they not only have lots of money for it but are ok with a player changing his visa for it?

Bringing a little humor to the board tonight. Got a great doctor report today while being overly anxious about the potential. Here’s to the off-season!

    Congrats on the good news!

This was a heck of a post to start by reading the tweet and nothing else.

  7. We always do a cookout for derby that runs all day. There isn’t a book, but we do jackpots on every race. Each race has a $0.50 one then derby usually has $1, $5, and occasionally $10 or $20.

I don’t follow the race a whole lot other than trying to catch a few between grilling.

Someone’s who’s a member on BTB tell Stuhoo to get off my nuts. I don’t post stuff to post stuff. I have a life. College basketball is now the Wild Wild West. I won’t hit every time. I share what I hear. I don’t claim to be someone I’m not. been posting for over 15 years all the way back to the Scout days.

    Showoff.

While understanding the NCAA has a ton of rules they don't enforce, I believe with NIL you technically can't tie it staying at a particular university.

But, there are always loop holes and I'd bet if Nijel Pack transferred again somehow his Ruiz deal would magically disappear.

I’ve thought about this a few times. You can’t tie it to attending a school, but you can make the deal contingent on physical appearances.

If the deal is $x for 8 appearances at an event that happens to be near campus it makes the legal NIL deal tough to fulfill from a different school.

They were so limited with their guards lack of passing skills and athleticism. They fronted Edey and had backside help and the guards couldn’t get him the ball because they didn’t trust their passing skills. It was a good coaching decision by FDU’s coach.

They were in a tough spot. Their guards just struggled and there wasn’t much else to do.
I didn’t really think they could lose until a late possession where Gillis looked scared to shoot a wide open 3.
