11 of 32 is pretty impressive.

I wasn’t placing fault with anybody specific. Simply saying “we” should have been all in on that kid. And I know he was 4-13 from the field, most of those inside the arc down low, but he’s a shooter, kid can play.

Lot of people that missed on him, but being an Indiana boy we should have known his capabilities.

Definitely hit some big shots to halt momentum. Just would like to see him take care of the ball better… tends to be pretty loose with it.

Can’t believe we didn’t recruit him. 🤦🏻

I always struggle pulling the trigger for him because he always a handful of poor decisions in a game (turnovers or bad shots). But no arguing his talents.

This game makes me a little angry about the lack of D in the last three. I can live with losing games if we always have that defensive intensity. But it’s been non-existent lately. We may not be able to score certain days or just not shoot it well, but we can definitely show up with that D every night. Props to JG. Been taking a lot of ire lately but he gave us exactly what we needed. He was the MVP in my book. JHS is talented. Can really be frustrating sometimes / makes a lot of poor decisions, but hit a lot of big mid range jumpers today. TJD played like he had a chip on his shoulder, and in unusual fashion didn’t let a bigger center just push him around. Everybody else played their role and didn’t hurt us. Play D and don’t turn it over and we can win games even without XJ and Race. With XJ and Race we’re dangerous to anybody if we’re doing these things.

Because we’re used to this story, disappointment! But people on this forum aren’t the people you should care about giving up. You should be angry at the players on the court and the coaching staff who appear to have given up.

Never gotten into women’s basketball, but I might have to anoint them my new favorite team with the $hit show going on in the men’s program.

You’re probably right, but can we start seeing some of it? Again, I’m not championing him being fired. I don’t know what needs to be done, but he’s not coaching at a high level right now. There’s no way. If he is, it’s too high of a level and these kids aren’t getting it. Injuries hurt for sure, but it doesn’t look like the other guys have a clue to what is going on. He needs to adjust / figure it out.

I think it’s more about being disappointed in Woody’s perceived inability to make adjustments or change anything over the last 2.5 games. I’m disappointed in him, but I’m like “whatever” at this point. Don’t know what I want or what I think is the best idea. Befuddled that PSU is a 3 point shooting team and we gave them open look after open look last night (that’s not a talent problem). And it didn’t change from half to half. That to me is elementary, so was it even addressed or addressed but not executed by the whole team? My response is more “wtf is going on” in a tone of amazement, not anger.

I don’t necessarily agree with this take… sometimes a team can play good basketball and just get beat. But as far as last night goes, I’m with you.

I mean I guess you’d have to go back and do the research (I’m not doing it), but I remember MOST saying they wanted him. Maybe I’m wrong.

Miller Kopp thinks somebody would be afraid to say something to his face. 🤣 Wish he was tougher on the court. At least XJ is a bulldog on the court. As dumb as his comment was and the inability to control himself, it’s at least his personality. Race and AL didn’t really say much but they should know better than to instigate. No offense to anybody, but I can’t believe there are people defending these guys. Like others have said, that post was mild at best, how all of us feel. Truth. Woody should make the entire team run for the next week.

I want to see different guys at this point. If we’re going to lose, let’s do it getting some young guys experience. JG can’t get it done.

We need the RIGHT kids, period! The ones that are certainly talented, but also have an internal fire about competing and winning, along with a high basketball IQ. I don’t care what they are rated. I’d rather have a less talented kid that knows how to play as opposed to a super athlete that doesn’t have a clue like JG. I’m not sure we have five kids on this team that truly know the game. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Then those guys should be sitting on the bench while we watch LD, AL, and other guys play. Not following a game plan? Miscommunications? We’re 15 games into the season. I get two major injuries change things a bit, but I’m starting to wonder where the coaching/discipline is coming from.
