I have 100% respect for a man continually posting about the Astros, when clearly he is the only one following that team art all around here.  🤣

    That's a fan. Cheers, @Naturalhoosier  🍻

Hell, you should see the blank looks my wife gives me when I try to talk Astros w/her!

I need to break up the Reds BS talk...and it gives me and @Proud2BAHoosier something to argue about.  :)

I ate at Wendy's today, as it was the only "acceptable" choice of fast food within the next 30 minutes of driving on the interstate.

    $10 F-ing dollars for a single cheeseburger, fries and drink. $10 !!

I can go to Chili's for lunch, get waited on, have a ½ lb DOUBLE cheeseburger, cooked to order fries, and a drink for far less than that...

Fast food prices are out of control. No way inflation has gone up that much. Same meal a year ago was  $6.

Don’t forget all of the minimum wage hikes.

  3. Astros home woes continue. Down 0-2 against the A’s in a 3 game set. It’s mystifying how a team can be so good on the road, but so terrible at home.  It defies logic. I know I know. Lack of trash cans, banging, etc etc. I’d actually buy into that if they didn’t have one of the best road records.

Rangers in danger of missing the playoffs all-together.  Who would have thunk it a few weeks ago.

I was surprised when the announcer mentioned it was the first time that Houston led the division all season.

The bats are coming alive too. Hopefully this trend continues!

The futuer is looking bright as the Bronx Bombers beat the Asstroles 5-4 thanks to the Baby Bombers all contributing in the win. And Judge hit his 31st homer as well!!

Nice to get a series win against Houston....

And yet the Stankees and their $278m payroll are still looking at last place in the division. That’s even after the defending Champions swept the BoSox.

Isn't actually based on a true story?

    Yeah.

I expected it to be super hokie. There was some of that in the script but the story itself and the cinematography/CGI really made up for it.  I’d watch it again. In a theater environment was great as well.

The Dr said I needed a prostate exam, but I couldn't afford to pay for it.

I ended up just buying some single ply toilet paper and accidentally doing a self check......... Multiple times.

Comic relief thread or Annoying Aging and Health Issues thread?!

I like the app, particularly the ability to listen to whichever teams broadcast I want to...

Do wish they had multi-view like YTTV though 🙂

Yeah the radio aspect is great too. When I drove back to my moms in Indiana the Astros happened to have a day game for each day/direction of travel. Helped quicken a 8-9hr drive by listening to some baseball.

And I'll say this about MLB TV...

I love it... The offer I took was basically the last 2 months of the season for $34.99... BUT, for veterans, they offer a 35% discount meaning I have access to almost every MLB game (except Astros blackouts and games on Apple TV+) making it $24.62 for me...

I'm so impressed with it, I'll probably just let it auto-renew for next season 🙂

I usually wait till a month to 6 weeks into the season and it’s half off. But I do like the product, aside from the crappy blackout rules.

This posted reminded me that I still needed to watch Facing Nolan (Nolan Ryan’s documentary on Netflix). I can’t stress enough how great that documentary is and how anyone who loves the game as we do, would thoroughly enjoy it. What a great guy. 27 years of power pitching is amazing.
