Need to win this game…primarily cause it’s a winnable road game and frankly we need to pile up some road wins while holding serve at home. Rutgers is weaker this year than previous seasons

Couldn’t have said it better. It’s a solid win but a game I think many of us had chalked up in the W column. Let’s build off this and start racking up Ws in games we aren’t expected to win and continue to take care of business against teams that we should beat. Rutgers is weak this year. A solid game and we should win. That’s what’s going to help build confidence.

Regarding Ware…I was fine with him sitting out large portions. Woodson played a smaller lineup. Malik was on fire. Adding Ware to the floor would’ve clogged up the lane limiting Malik’s ability to make his moves. I hope we look at playing smaller more often. I think it would’ve served us better vs a team like Nebraska.

Definitely strange since we’re considered (I believe) the 3rd tallest team in the country.

Exactly…this is all schematic. It won’t change. Woodson is somehow convinced this gives us the best opportunity to win games, despite continuously being brutalized behind the 3 point line game in and game out. You would think a 7’ shot block machine rim protector would cause CMW to think twice.

I'm expecting or at least hoping for a win mainly because it's home...but until we get better guard play - if ever this season - this team has a very low ceiling. I'm hoping we shorten the rotation to 8 and if CMW is absolutely hell bent on playing Gunn and Banks then please play one at a time...playing those two together is a recipe for disaster as we have seen time and time again. Their negatives simply outweigh any positive they bring.

Definitely not disagreeing. The question is...would Woodson be willing to go this route and not want "yes sir" coaches? That's what his staff currently is.

This team is who we thought they were. No guards. Can't win in today's basketball without guards. Incredibly unbalanced roster. Not sure why Woodson would put all his eggs in the XJ basket especially with a scholarship still available. Unless Cupps magically flips a switch, this season is most likely toast.

Solid point. I forgot about some of those Miles’ teams. Regardless, I think we can all agree Nebraska isn’t some dominant team. Maybe they sneak in the tournament? TBD…it’s this that shows how far we are. It’s one thing to be embarrassed by Kansas on the road but a whole another thing regarding the dominance Nebraska showed us all. The numbers/metrics showed this…I guess I was hoping we could start to make up ground in these categories.

The whole team may need to be blown up at the end of the year — Woodson seriously needs to look in the mirror on the style of hall he wants to play moving forward…this isn’t it. Again, the roster construction of this team is mind boggling. No guard/perimeter play and it was obvious this was a serious issue before the season even started. At this point, stick to an 8 man rotation. Play Leal, Cupps and Walker. Banks and Gunn ain’t it and they’re certainly a recipe for disaster when the play together. it’s still head scratching as to why Woodson decides to play those two together in arguably the most important time period of the game especially when Gunn didn’t play in the first half…anyways, wasn’t shocked Nebraska quickly ballooned the lead to 20+ points there after. I won’t mince my words, after all they’re getting paid and he’s been given ample opportunities but Gunn is more useless than tits on a bull. Would be surprised if he’s on the team next year. He would be a solid mid major player.
