I project by the end of the season, they'll be six months older. -

Calipari has done this for about 10 years, Memphis and Duke also hold them. I'm sure there are others. I believe Duke typically holds a couple and then closes its practices to scouts for the season. Not sure about the others. -

Bottom line: Colts are tied for first in division and played on the road.

Ryan threw for over 350. Taylor ran for over 160. Colts ran 90 plays to 68 and had almost 10 minutes more of ToP. Hard to believe they had to come from so far behind for a tie. They did have a lot of penalties

Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since they landed that hideous ufo on top of Soldier Field

Agree completely. Iowa is also too high as a campus, although football game days are great there.

Back in March of 2019 a new mascot vote was brought to the student body at Illinois suggesting the mascot be changed to Alma Otter. That one failed by a vote of 3,807-3,510. 😂 https://footballscoop.com/news/could-we-be-on-the-verge-of-a-big-ten-program-changing-their-mascot

Lucky for them, after they are forced to drop the Illini name, they can become the centipedes.

Yeah, it’s really hard to be invested. IU has usually been really bad in football. Then every once in a while, they tease the fans but always seem to collapse just when they start to generate some hope. The best year in recent history occurred when fans couldn’t attend, then they followed up with a total collapse again last year. It’s just easier and more fun to go to a party or a bar. When I was at IU, most parties and bars didn’t start rocking until after 10. Why not go to the game until half, then hit the party scene. The football players I knew would be out partying after getting waxed at home.
