  1. IU football 2024 B1G schedule: at USC at Penn St “home” Ohio St to be played at Paul Brown stadium “home” ND to be played in London at Oregon home MI at UCLA “home” Purdue to be played at Soldier Field
  2. I don't answer the phone when Cindy Simon Skjodt calls and asks for her $40 million back. Those were the most expensive bathrooms since the Roman Empire.
  3. Another good reason to give South Bend to Michigan
  4. They probably figure WI, IA & MI have that market covered (plus if ND would join). IL is kind of a wild card. A lot of IL grads in Chicago, but their program isn't good.
  5. Honestly Rutgers, MD, NW and IU shouldn’t feel all that secure either. Enormous pressure on the IU football program now.
  6. I'm sure there have been some that worked out, but it seems like there have been a lot of reclassify failures
  7. Ferentz has been at IA for 23 years and has had 19 OL drafted. Can't argue with the track record.
  8. Yeah, I don't really consider Purdue (#9) or MI (#10) to be B1G teams either. 😀
  9. I get that, but they could have the teams that finished in the bottom half all play home and home against each other (and do the same for the top half) and then have the bottom half teams only play one game against the top teams.
  10. Makes sense that the defending co-champs get the easiest schedule, while NW, NE and MN get the most difficult.. I don't even understand what this statement has to do with scheduling: The schedule gods have been cruel to the Illini the past 2 postseasons, setting Illinois up with wildly under-seeded opponents in the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
  11. How much will Ruiz pay the cannon fodder on the kick coverage team?
  12. "After carefully considering all of my options, and with the uncertainty of COVID-19, I have decided to opt out of the college basketball season to focus on my dreams to become a professional basketball player and train for the 2021 NBA draft," Eastern posted on Twitter. "I will be signing with an agent and chase what I've always worked for. "I genuinely want to thank Howard University and the coaching staff for a tremendous opportunity." 😂
  13. There was a physical and probably an emotional maturity issue there. He was not a good candidate to reclassify. Doesn’t seem like many of those work out.
  14. Hindsight is 20:20. If Archie whiffed, so did a lot of others. Pack had three official visits: Rice, Belmont and K State. No offers from any other P5 schools. Laravia had two official visits: SIU Edwardsville and IN State. No offers from any P5 schools, but he did have an offer from Incarnate Word (so did Priller, as I recall) Imagine the screaming from this message board if the recruiting class had included those players. Lander had offers from Kansas, FL, LVille and multiple B1G teams. Anderson had offers from MI and UConn. FWIW, the lead recruiter for Aaron Henry was Dane Fife.
  15. That is hard to take. Loved the Goose.
  16. Wow, just Wow. What's the toughest thing you've had to overcome? Not playing for a year. Why didn't you play for a year? To get ready for next season Yeah, but why didn't you play? Best thing for me to get ready for next season Have you talked to any NBA players about the transition to the NBA? Not really Hasn't really played 5 on 5 since high school (of which there were three in three years)
  17. "in my opinion there were times when he wasn't even the best player on his team last season. " To be fair to Ivey, Ethan Morton was on the same team.
  18. I'm sure he did and then Sharpe apparently told Cal, I just need access to the gym and training facility. I don't need to actually play for you. "I did talk to [coach John Calipari] about it, my coach, trainer, even my parents," Sharpe said. "But at the end of the day, it was my decision to not play." So, the decision was made of Sharpe's own volition. And for him, it all boiled down to one thing: he knew he could still get better at basketball without playing. "My thought process as an athlete, as a basketball player, was really just getting better," Sharpe said. "So I was just in the gym every day, working out. Really for me, whatever happened, I'd be ready for it." Sharpe believes that he made progress during his lone year at Kentucky. So, he is more than comfortable with his decision to sit out the 2021-22 college basketball season. "Like I said before, everything happens for a reason. So I really don't regret [not] playing," Sharpe said. "I mean, I'm working with NBA teams now. So I guess I did something right."
  19. Read that his father died from diabetes, at age 50, and weighed over 500 pounds. Tough genetics
  20. My Dad taught grade school for awhile. One of his favorite stories: His class had spent about a week studying the Middle East. He asked a kid to go to the map and point out Lebanon. After the kid was there for awhile, my Dad asked if he needed help. Kid said, "no, my aunt lives in Crawfordsville, if I can find that, I can find Lebanon".
