  1. WF loses, which is a Quad 3 loss. Not a good time for that. WF is a good example of why number of wins isn't all that relevant. Prior to this game, Lunardi had WF and MI among the last four byes. WF was 23-8 and MI 17-13, but WF was 39 in the NET and MI was 31.
  2. Could this even be a possibility? BRAD UNDERWOOD This would probably be the home run hire to unite the K-State fan base. Brad Underwood coached under Bob Huggins and Frank Martin at K-State and has gone on to find a lot of success as head coach at Stephen F Austin, Oklahoma State, and Illinois. The problem with getting Underwood is finding the money to hire him away from Illinois. He bleeds purple, and I’ve heard through the grapevine that K-State is his “dream job.” The problem is that he has a good thing going at Illinois right now, and it would probably take a lot to lure him away from there. https://www.heartlandcollegesports.com/2022/03/03/if-k-state-moves-on-from-bruce-weber-three-notables-names-should-be-debated-considered/
  3. Carson Wentz had an up and down career with the Philadelphia Eagles after they traded up to the #2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft. He had injuries from his first preseason until he forced a trade last year. He clashed with coaches and management, and is seen as a self-righteous diva by some people in the league. His former OC in Philly, Frank Reich, took a shot on bringing him to the Colts last season. It cost them a 1st and 3rd round pick, and they didn’t get the results they expected. https://www.hogshaven.com/2022/3/9/22969356/washington-commanders-trade-for-indianapolis-colts-qb-carson-wentz-nfl
  4. Action Network@ActionNetworkHQWashington Commanders Super Bowl Odds @WynnBet 🔸60-1: Before trading for Carson Wentz 🔸75-1: After
  5. Isiah Thomas averaged 3.9 TOs per game at IU. 0.113 per minute played. 81 title year, 3.1 TOs per game, 0.89 per minute played. His A/TO ratio in 80-81 was 1.87. He was one of the best to ever play. XJ's A/TO ratio this year is 1.85.
  6. I could see the rule applying the other way, if a team moved down a level. There’s a lot involved in moving up to D1 as far as cost, scheduling, conference affiliation, etc. For Bellarmine, all 22 sports moved up.
  7. Bellarmine being ineligible. Obviously they knew the rule, but why prohibit a team moving up to D1 from playing in the tournament?
  8. Bellarmine wins ASun tourney, but is ineligible for NCAAT for four years because they moved up to Div 1 last year. So, Jacksonville St, the regular season champ who lost in the semifinals, will play in NCAAT. Stupid rule
  9. Yeah, I won’t buy into the hype on a recruit again
  10. Yeah Race was hosed big time. I don’t get the love for Trevion Williams either. He had a subpar year
  11. That’s weird. I swear McGowans was freshman of the week every week
  12. We’ll don’t post any scores until the game starts at 11:30 for everyone else
  13. Probably a $27 million commitment to Wentz after 3/18, after making it clear they don’t really want him
  14. That would be fantastic if he does. However, he's a freshman. Plummer arrived at Illinois as a career 40% 3 pt shooter in the Pac 12. JHS is a great addition, but I've seen too many 5 star freshman struggle all over CBB. If Race and or TJD return, it would be a disservice to them to say we're rolling with JHS and Bates.
  15. We definitely need an Alfonso Plummer caliber transfer at the guard position. 15ppg. 40% 3pts, 84% FTs. Also need to add a small forward who can shoot.
  16. It was a bad loss but PSU and Syracuse were worse. Plus the Rutgers loss just dropped to a Quad 3, so that is now the worst loss.
  17. We would still be on the bubble, probably on the outside looking in. That would have been a Quad 2 win that barely moved the needle. It was no worse than the road PSU loss. OTOH, had we won the Rutgers game at home (they jumped us with that loss) plus any one of the road losses against WI, OSU or PU we'd be solidly in.
  18. And Jean-Baptiste, who hit the winning shot, started the game 0-8. Finished 5-17
  19. From Bleacher Report: Fourth Team Out: Indiana Hoosiers 18-12, NET: 44, RES: 62.5, QUAL: 39.0 If you take out the seven Quadrant 4 cupcakes that Indiana scheduled in nonconference play, the Hoosiers are 11-12 overall with just two wins against definite tournament teams—at home against Purdue and Ohio State. The metrics aren't bad, but this resume just reeks of missed opportunity and poor scheduling. The Hoosiers will face Michigan on Thursday for the right to face Illinois on Friday. Much like Florida's case, that looks like a pair of must-win games.
  20. Would have been a really tough loss for either team. Chat was regular season champs, but would have been relegated to NIT. Furman hasn't been to NCAAT since 1980. Teams kept trading huge shots down the stretch.
  21. And we’ve never played our way in through the BTT. Overall record 13-23
