I think the hope is that he setup the meeting thinking we were keeping the same offense and going to run a big man next to reneau again.

And then he cancelled it when finding out Woodson is changing things up and we really only have a backup center spot available.

    Yes that's what I meant.

The schools he's interested are UConn, Louisville, NC State and Pittsburgh. All need a scoring ready big next year and all their starting bigs are either Seniors this year or going to be drafted. Seeing that Malik is going to be our scoring big I don't believe Hatfield saw himself getting the ball enough to score. Hatfield is also not coming off the bench. Also, we need a shot blocking big and Hatfield only averaged 0.8 per game which is slightly better than Malik.

Hatfield.. who knows. probably already found another home before he could get here.

Gotta wonder if Woodson told Hatfield we're not going to be an inside out team next year and that's why Hatfield ran away? Hatfield would have done extremely well under the system that Woodson put forth the last three years. I have no proof but I think Hatfield declining his visit most likely means Woodson and staff are actually changing the type of basketball we're going to play next year.

Additionally, Woodson going to Hickman's house supports the idea that they're changing the offense next year. Why else would he? Hickman has all the evidence to suggest his shooting and abilities wouldn't be utilized correctly based on the history of our offense. If you're going to Hickman's house you're selling him on something different and telling him he's going to be part of that change.

As true as this seems to be, I am going to continuously get my hopes up until I take my last breath. It's an illness.  Loo

It's not an illness. I'm the same way. If Indiana is on the court I'm rooting for Indiana. If Indiana has a team I believe they can win. I'd rather eat a turd than not root for Indiana on game day.

It's been a while since I visited a Purdue board. Do they have Indiana fans on there pretending to actually be Purdue fans? Because that would be super embarrassing.

Look. I agree with you. There's a lot about the Purdue program that should embarrass anyone.

    ....

    right?

There’s pictures of Edey supposedly hitting on high schoolers on Reddit and Twitter. I have no idea if they’re true or not. Not going to link anything here but things being posted about Purdue lately are wild. I actually hope they’re not true cause Edey seems like a nice dude.

Burns will have two fouls by the first TV timeout

I think they're going to have the best refs for the final four. The NCAA knows if Edey gets a bunch of dumb calls the outrage by the average fan is going to be awful for perception. I'm almost willing to bet this is the first game Zach Edey fouls out of this season.

In 1987 we got to play in Indy and Cincinnati so we had that kind of path as well. In 2002 we beat a 12, 13, 1, 10 to get to the final four

I remember that tournament very well. I remember thinking we're getting beat in the first round by Rick Majerus based on recent history of first round losses. I thought Mike Davis was going to be out-coached.

In the second round my friend's yelled at me for not leaving the couch early because I was convinced that the UNCW was going to make a comeback.

I was lucky enough to be at the sweet 16 and elite 8 game in Lexington. Never before had I seen and or heard Kentucky fans rooting for Indiana. On Sunday in the Elite Eight game every Kentucky fan was rooting for Kent State.

Heavy sigh. Anxiety. Anger mixed with inner turmoil!”

As an IU fan, yeah, this blows.

NGL, personally, I’m thrilled my girlfriend gets to cheer at a Final Four game.

I’mma shut up now before I get tarred and feathered.

First off many congrats to your girlfriend getting to attend and cheer for her team at the final four. That will be an experience of a lifetime. Secondly, I'm enjoying that most of America is beginning to dislike Edey as much as the rest of the big ten does. Having Purdue achieve success while being loathed by the average American is the most Purdue thing ever. Does it blow...kind of...but let's not act like we didn't see this coming.
