  1. That's actually a pretty cool perspective on learning plays, formations, or concepts. I literally just talked with a high school OC about this two minutes ago. He said it's things they discuss and play with in the spring. Not much transfers, but it sometimes sparks creativity.
  2. Don't care whether he lines up in the backfield or the slot, that kind of speed and quickness is lethal. He seems thicker and more powerful than I thought too. He's gonna be fun to watch.
  3. Remember watching Danny Nee at Ohio University. He had some really good teams there in the 80's.
  4. That's interesting. Part of the Bo Nix mystique was created his freshman year with the hail mary touchdown pass that helped Auburn beat Oregon. Talk about a serious culture and geographic change.
  5. Appreciate what you bring to the board. I absolutely love IU football and recruiting. There is much to be excited about.
  6. I would think there will be more hit the portal after bowl games and the playoffs. There definitely will be transfers after spring practices and guys see how things are shaking out with first team reps. Save a scholarship, don't reach, and be ready when an opportunity arises.
  7. I'm not much of a NBA fan anymore, but the player he reminds me of in college is Julius Randle. Dominant college player with no outside shot, and only went to his left. With my wife being an UK fan, I watched most of his games. He was obviously much stronger, but their size and skill level in college seem similar. Randle has obviously had a nice NBA career and learned to shoot, so could TJD play that kind of role?
  8. Bring on the speedy playmakers. We missed that in the slot this year without Matthews. Need the threat of the homerun on plays in space.
  9. If he's afraid of competition at his position, and not up to playing in the East, maybe it's time to take a step down. Just leave your playbook on your way out the door!
  10. Spriggs was exactly who I thought of when CTA described him playing on his school's volleyball team. Length, athleticism, and explosiveness. Really excited about his potential.
  11. Thanks. The strength and nutrition programs will be great for Carter. With the ability to learn our techniques and offense in the spring, I wonder if he'll be able to contribute next season? Very excited to watch his progress.
  12. You're right about that. Some serious football talent out of Prattville. Big time football program.
  13. Yep. He's a gamer. Takes some risks and can get sloppy at times, but the ultimate competitor. No slide in him!
  14. Let's get Nix and he can mentor Bailey. That would be a couple Alabama things I could cheer for at IU!
  15. He's been in an absolute pressure cooker at Auburn, so he may welcome just being able to play. He's been a legacy, highly ranked recruit, and expected savior of the Auburn program through a coaching change and new OC's. Wish nothing but the best for him, and would love to have him at IU.
  16. I just have to wonder about the effect on his development going against that level of competition. Unless it was agreed he would go there for one year, then transfer to one of the elite FBS programs, you would have to think this is a big gamble. Plus, other than social media, how the heck is that kid gonna get the kind of exposure to deliver ROI?! Guess we'll see.
  17. The Auburn fans I know love him and wished they would've used him more. He was mostly a 3rd down back and caught passes out of the backfield. They're excited to see what he can do as a Hoosier.
  18. Thanks for sharing all of this! Today is like an earlier Christmas present for our Hoosiers.
  19. Fair enough. Compared to downtown Birmingham, it's an oasis! Hopefully with UAB's new stadium and renovation of the BJCC, Birmingham will continue to improve the entertainment areas of downtown.
  20. Birmingham is under 3 hours and we have a cousin that lives in Franklin. We just stayed by the City Center for a conference, and it was very clean and safe. It's one of the main bachelorette destinations now. We walked everywhere and really enjoyed it. I absolutely love Nashville.
  21. Has there been discussion about where OSU intends to play Curry? I thought there was talk he wanted to play end and they were recruiting him to play inside?
  22. Absolutely. Look what Mel Tucker did at MSU with transfers. A weakness can quickly become a strength because there is immediate PT available.
  23. He's played left and right tackle, along with guard. Love his versatility. Could be helpful with injuries and integrating freshman along slowly.
  24. Really wish he would've been healthy this season. He would've been a much better option once Tuttle went down. His practice reports had sounded promising. Hopefully we get to see what he can do.
  25. I would think if we make him a priority and make a strong push, our chances would be good?
