  1. Very disappointing, but I didn't figure anything would happen until school was out. No one wants to walk around with everyone pissed at you. Dasan needed to finish his academics and be able to train. Good life lesson that it's better to say nothing than make a statement you know is untrue. "I'm going to focus on my academics and assess my future after the semester", would've been honest and respected.
  2. Looks like a good shooter with size. Not overly athletic, but finished through contact.
  3. This a great question. No way a school and shoe company allow this; nor should they. I suspect it will be attempted at some point.
  4. Oh lord. Shaggy could drive recruits around in the Mystery Machine.
  5. 100%. Shows he really put in the work, and shooting can improve. He was always an elite athlete with drive.
  6. That's actually a very good comparison from the video. Great call.
  7. Hope he develops HotRod's 3 point shooting. When he got on a roll as an upperclassmen, it seemed like every shot was going in.
  8. Watching him as a kid, I almost took for granted how dominant he was. On the goal line, he was going over the top for a score, much like Walter Payton. I just thought that was normal. Great to know he is a solid guy.
  9. You hit the nail on the head with this post. Give me the great college player that wins you games, but lacks some of the "potential" the NBA wants but doesn't really benefit their current college team. Good athlete and skill over elite athleticism. Ideally you have a good combination of both, but I'll take the TJD/Bacot/Gillespie/Tshiebwe types over the uber athletes that haven't learned the game yet.
  10. That's a great point about taking one year at a mid major. But with the NIL, why not have them walk on and give them a one year NIL deal? It subsidizes their cost of tuition, and they could still earn a scholarship if they play above expectations. Lots of potential to get creative.
  11. Glad you did. Not sure of Nova's recruiting class, but he would seem to be a perfect fit to replace Gillespie. Baylor is a great fit with their guard play as well. Who knows, maybe we'll pull a Shocker.
  12. Was he a Dane connection, or do we still have a shot?
  13. That backcourt will be aggressive and dynamic. Add in JHS and Bates, and we should have a legit tournament stable of guards. Hopefully Gunn adds to that as well.
  14. Agree. I don't think we've ever been as clean as we would like to believe, but also not nearly dirty enough to compete with the likes of UK, UNC, KU, UConn, Duke, Louisville, and several others. As the NCAA has completely lost their disciplinary teeth, certain schools have really taken advantage. The NIL levels the playing field and decreases the influence of the bagmen.
  15. I watched their game against LSU. Had to ask my wife that is a UK fan who the heck he was. Think he had 13-14 points. Didn't see much of him afterward. Wasn't sure if he was injured.
  16. He can play. Most of the UK fans I know wished he would have played more. Had some nice spurts of production, then didn't see the floor again. Similar to what was said about Johnny Juzang.
  17. We have decades of NBA coaching and development. We have Matta's B1G experience. I'm not worried about X's and O's. We need Jimmys and Joes! Love the move from a recruiting standpoint to keep/promote Ya and promote Walsh. With Hunter, that gives us a strong recruiting footprint in the south, east, and midwest. Solid choices.
  18. That would be incredible, albeit hard to imagine. Have to wonder what that would do in regards to JG.
  19. Come full circle. Start and end your career as a Hoosier. Get to play wing/stretch 4 like he wanted. Also be the ultimate nut-kick to Archie if he excelled.
  20. Travis Steele would be interesting. Bring Colby Jones with you too, coach Steele.
  21. I believe he is the coach in waiting when Izzo retires.
