When it comes to the bible I was taught the same way as you describe.  If it's your time it is what it is. I was also taught to fight and never give up.

Jesus once said sell your cloak and get a sword.

Well my sword is on backorder but can buy another one whenever I want.

I don't believe this shot is the "mark " but it feels like a friggen trial run. Passports to enter to eat, losing jobs, forcing people to choose the ability to raise and feed their family.  People who have been raised religious in any fashion, have to see warning signs.

Trust me I'm not a bible thumper in any manner.  I much rather post dirty jokes in the comic area, but holy hell this shit is literally written in a book. And it certainly to me feels like its playing out right in front of us

Almost 2 years in, no new hospitals have been built, no hospital ships or emergency overflow built but let's fire hospital workers who have been working unvaccinated for 18 months.

Seriously, think about it people. Holy F@#k.

Yeah, it makes zero sense. Very frustrating! I have multiple nurses and Dr's in my family.  Some have been vaccinated,  but say they won't take the boosters. The other's haven't taken the shot, and are preparing to leave the medical field when the mandate hits.

I work in the microbiology lab for the 2nd largest contract pharmaceutical company in the world. I haven't taken the vaccine. Alot of others haven't either.

Have alot of coworkers who have taken it and had adverse reactions and refuse to take the boosters.

I am interested in monoclonal antibody injections and oral anti virals.

I'm not anti vax but I've had this crap and survived and so has my wife.

My BIL went into icu just a few days after getting the vaccine my sister unvaccinated.

They both got covid. She recovered in less than a week, he died after 36 days in icu. Nothing makes sense.

I don't like bringing politics or religion to these boards, or social media in general.  But I believe with every fiber of my being, that we all have a time to die.  You can be fully vaccinated,  sitting inside a tank, surrounded by personal protection.  When your number is called,  that's it.  The bible says, god knows when we will die before we are even born.

Im not a bible thumper nor do I preach to anyone.  But the current events certainly bring back the things my grandmother tried so hard to beat in my head.

These stories are tragic, yet very likely preventable.  Just.....get.....the.....vaccine.

83,000 Healthcare workers in New York are possibly going to lose their jobs... these numbers are astronomical across the country.  Why so many people who have stared this thing in the face, still refuse to take the shot?  It's obviously not that simple, its obviously not that safe. Dr's and nurses making 6+ figures a year are walking away. The mandates make less sense as the days go by, and more information comes out.  I'm just a dummy sales guy, but when I see that many professionals walking away from something,  It makes me question things. Whole lot of why's...   thankfully I don't personally know anyone who has died because of covid. I know people who were on their death bed, who had covid when they passed.  I  know 3 local people personally that had strokes after taking the vaccine. 2 of which are still with us, the other 46 yr old gal with 3 kids is not.

  5. There have been massive protests around the world, for weeks now. 100's of thousands of people, and growing. Yet its not being covered and basically pushed under the rug.  This thing is about to blow up I am afraid.  The mandates and passports aren't going to fly for long. Australia would be at war right now, if they hadn't disarmed their citizens years ago.

Proven? Sure, masks, social distancing and vaccines. Especially these three together. I know you are not a fan of any of those, but they do work if people use them.

Look at deaths, hospitalizations, and positivity rates in states that don’t embrace them. Idaho is at 43.7%, Mississippi at 34.4%. Deaths are surging in these places, and the hospitalizations are crushing healthcare workers in many regions. The states with the lowest positivity rates, hospitalizations, and deaths are all NE states that embrace masks, social distancing, and vaccination. The states struggling largely embrace individual freedom over a healthy society.

The densest, most populous city in the US (NYC) has a positivity rate that’s been hovering between 1-4% for the last six months, currently at 3%. Everyone knows we got hammered in the beginning, before we knew what worked. Made a lot of mistakes, but after that initial surge, our rates have been VERY low. Why?

Because we have been very strict about wearing masks indoors, social distancing, and we have a high vaccination rate. Our population density means we are always packed together - in buildings (mine has 75 units sharing an elevator), on subways, on buses, and on sidewalks. You would think that would make controlling spread difficult. There are a lot of us, but we mostly decided to make some sacrifices for the greater good of the people around us.

Life is vibrant here - sidewalk and street dining are packed every day. New restaurants and stores are popping up. We go about our lives as we did before, w/o much worry about COVID. Outdoor dining has transformed neighborhoods, many more people are out and about biking, summer streets were extended year around (streets shut down to car traffic on weekends). We do mask up indoors, but that’s just smart. Subways are packed, but people wear masks.

This really isn’t rocket science - we don’t have to scour the internet for fringe treatments and studies to prove our pet theories, if we simply do these things. History also tells us this is how many plagues and pandemics are ultimately ended.

I don't disagree with any of that, but I bet a high percentage of natural immunity plays a huge part in that as well...

  7. Stuff like this is why a very large portion of the world doesn't trust anything governments tell them.

Do as we say, not as we do. Videos and pics of this sort of thing everyday.

It's hard to blindly follow, when the leaders only play by the rules when the camera is rolling.
