If someone truly thinks this pandemic is all a centrally planned plot, more power to them.  They’re normally also the folks who think the government has done an awful job in response. Again, more power to them.

to wit - if someone thinks the government is as stupid as that person believes it is, how are they smart enough people to pull off such a massive conspiracy like this?

I believe he's referring to the mark of the beast....  the bible talks of not being able to buy or sell goods unless unless you take the mark. Your choice is eternal fire or watch your children starve to death.  Taking the mark isn't a city, or a country thing, it's global.

I think substituting something like 'misguided' for adolescence carries a more powerful message.

All depends on what side of the street you are standing on, determines who one thinks is being misguided.

But I think we are all being misguided.

  3. So far Omicron looks to be very mild...  could this be what covid is mutating to?  The more contagious,  less deadly version that we will have to live with?

Not saying its a cold or flu, but following that path?

  4. Heart issues in women under 50 with the J&J jab. The warning used to be in big red letters, but that has disappeared on the cdc and my local drug store sites.

Heart issues in young males with Moderna and Pfizer.....

Both are said to be rare.  But j&j is enough of an issue, they openly push women towards "better options"

I personally don't know anyone who has had these heart issues from the shot.

But my dads Dr and cardiologist both told him not to take the shot earlier this year.  2 months later they told him to go ahead and take, it was safe. What changed, why go from we don't recommend it, to meh, its safe?

    https://www.history.com/news/1918-flu-pandemic-never-ended

Not trying to equate the two or anything...but the point being...this virus will likely be with us forever. No amount of vaccination has ended the flu...and it won't end this. Does that mean we shouldn't vaccinate and save as many lives as possible...of course not..but at what point do we accept Covid is here....will be here....will always kill people just like the flu virus was killing 60-80 thousand people a year and that is sad but that is just nature. The old, sick, infirmed, and even tragic young can and will die in the future, but at what point do we put it in perspective that we will just live side by side with this virus and can't let it control our futures. I don't know what WINNING looks like...I don't know what LOSING looks like because it looks different to whomever you ask. Covid is kinda like the war on terror. Sure I'm thankful to be protected, and willing to even be inconvenienced on occassion but we have to realize not everyone is and should be expected to land on the same spot of the spectrum when it comes to that and that no measures will ever end this "war". It's simply the price of being human. Our life is only but a vapor...and then it is gone. Let's not miss out on what is special about life in seeking to protect it or hold it too tightly less it slip through our fingers and we miss it.

Amen! I keep saying that I have high hopes for the pills...  I believe its the way back to semi normal.

Hope you didn’t think that I was dismissing their experiences or your own feelings on the subject. Those are a lot of issues close to you and when they are that close they can feel very amplified.

It’s just very difficult to tell what causes health issues in today’s world and the vaccines are fairly simple with very limited ingredients. Probably less ingredients than almost everything we stuff our faces with these days.

That said, I respect you enough not to argue about it online. Would rather be talking home audio or IU with you anyway!

No argument my friend!  Just pointing out what we have seen in front of us. I know you and your wife have been right in the thick of things out there. I try to keep an open mind as much as possible, and really only speak on what I see first hand.  My heating and air conditioning background doesn't qualify me much in the way of science 😂

That’s a horrible experience, but how do you decide that those are all related to the vaccine? There are hundreds if not thousands of potential factors that happen among a group of people over the course of one year.

Actual adverse reactions are not common, in fact they are super rare.

“A recent study tried to pinpoint what ingredient in the COVID-19 vaccines made by Pfizer and Moderna causes rare allergic reactions. It found that a widely-suspected culprit might not be at fault, and the vaccine reactions might be partially due to anxiety and other psychological factors.

Such reactions are extremely uncommon, happening two to five times per every 1 million people vaccinated in the U.S. But national surveys show that possible side effects remain a sticking point for hesitant people, and misinformation about what the shots contain is still rampant.

Scientists have long linked these adverse bodily responses to polyethylene glycol, an inactive ingredient that stabilizes messenger RNA (mRNA) — the genetic material that forms the backbone of the shots.

Seeking to address this theory, a team of allergy researchers at Northwell Health — New York’s largest health care provider — conducted allergy tests with polyethylene glycol, commonly known as PEG, to see if they could adequately predict if a patient will have a serious reaction to the vaccine.

“We thought it was most likely PEG, but that’s clearly not the case,” said Dr. Vincent Bonagura, a senior author of the study published October 23rd in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. “The vaccine is just made of a few other ingredients — lipids that are stabilizers, salts, sugars and the mRNA.”

I completely understand your position,  and definitely respect it. If i lived in NY and saw the things you did, I would probably feel differently.  But, when people we know personally walk in to a clinic to get the shot and end up with strokes, or dead in a day or two the "study" doesn't mean much to me.  My family is full of Dr's from cardiologist, to RN, to teaching nursing at a university.  They are all vaccinated, but their position is changing.  They are seeing issues, and its not uncommon

  8. Wife's best friends mom,  is now experiencing the same vision issues as her vp of sales ( who had a second episode Saturday) both ladies are going completely blind all of a sudden. Same stories, they are fine, then all of a sudden they just see white.  The friends mom is older, the vp is young and fit... the vp is having her husband drive her from Chicago to here today for a meeting, as she is not allowed to drive for now.  Thats 3 strokes, 1 death, 3 cases of random blindness, a few heart issues, clotting issues, multiple long cases of extreme fatigue...  all in this year after taking the shot...  again, I am praying the pills hit the market fast. We need them desperately.  Even our friends that support the shot are starting to waiver. With talks of the new variant possibly needing a new shot,  there will be heavy push back.

Looks like Lincoln Riley is headed to USC.

I think that OK job may be a tough sell to a higher profile coach. Could OK look like Nebraska in ten years? Losing Riley right before heading to the SEC could be a tough road ahead.

Obviously Lincoln didn't want any part of the SEC.  Turned down a supposed 12 million a year offer from LSU, then runs off to the west coast. He recruited very well at OU, I'm not sure it will change that much being in Cali

Did you expect to make the playoffs this year? The guy came in as a defensive coordinator and turned the defense around, then made back to back bowl seasons in his 3rd and 4th year. He has met or even exceeded Indiana Football expectations. Plus, after he went 8-5 & 6-2 he didnt jump ship for a better job, which is what normally happens with our coaches... see Deboer, Wommack, Hart, etc...

Uh no... I wouldn't expect IU to ever make the playoffs. Especially with the current 4 team structure.  But completely rolling over and dying wasn't on most people's minds

Idc if a non power 5 school ever gets in lol

But I've said the whole time-- go to 8... 5 power 5 Champs get in, 2 at larges 1 group of non power 5.

    That would look like

    1- UGA (SEC Champ)

    2- Michigan (B1G)

    3- Bama (at large)

    4- Cinci (non power 5)

    5- OSU (at large)

    6- OKST (B12)

    7- Oregon (Pac12)

    8- Wake (ACC)

I like the looks of that a lot.

I agree with going to 8 teams, it needs to happen!

I'm a Bama (Saban) fan.  This just isn't our year. Nick will make plenty changes once season ends.  New OC for sure, possibly DC as well....  the right side of the oline is a serious issue as well as the secondary.  In my opinion the strength and conditioning coaches need to be ran out of Tuscaloosa.  Cochran left for Georgia 2 yrs ago, its no coincidence they are monsters on both sides of the ball... we got the dude from IU and it is not working in the SEC.

Georgia stomps our ass by 20+

    False

By a lot. The similarities that those two hold is they're absolutely incredible dudes.

Your ridiculous posts don't change that.

I will give you that. Both seem like good dudes, but I'm talking about coaching. If Dolson is serious about the foorball program,  he will be forced to make a change in a year or two.

Crean was not far from the door when he ran here from Marquette. Didnt work here, not going to work in Georgia... thats the truth.

Thankful we have Woodson. Hopefully Allen cleans house and surrounds himself with great coaches, because he needs it.

He also won 2 conference championships in 4 years. How in the world are you still talking crap about him?

    Grow up

He's an excellent coach..didn't work here. Everyone else has moved on? Do you have OCD about this issue? Woof

I could care less about Tom Crean...  just pointing out some similarities between the two.

Crean is far far far away from excellent at anything other than finding a diamond in the rough
