Sad thing is the top 5 classes in BIG per average recruit ranking are all from BIG East. I feel like Re alignment needs to happen or it’s going to be really really hard for IU to ever reach BIG championship. East is brutal.

Being legit in football is a lot of fun! Thank you CTA!!

We really need to make a regional this year to continue momentum for the program

I'm really hoping we get Conner Manous back soon. Kid throws 92-94 and has a lot of experience at the college level, and has been successful in difficult situations.
In 2020 he had thrown 8 scoreless innings only giving up 5H and striking out 12. In 2019, he threw 40.2 innings and was a 2.68ERA. We need him back.
What’s wrong with him? Had Mercer said anything about him coming back this year?

Smith really needs to be a Hoosier! Be a shame to see him go somewhere else.

Garcia is a stud for Marquette.. With Brunk being hurt that was a massive miss. Believe we finished runner up to Marquette. This season would probably look a lot different if he was on the roster.

Purdue 2-12 from 3.. down to 34% on the year. Unbelievable and un repeatable performance they had in IU game.

Just a guess?? Who knows.
I would think if he didn’t get drafted He would no doubt get picked up and land in the G league and a team would give him a chance to develop a jumper.
Or if money isn’t a problem he could stay in school continue to develop shot at IU, enjoy (hopefully) an actual normal college year, and get to play with Brunk one more time on a team that would have a legit shot at second weekend in tourney.

I don’t even want to guess honestly. Depends on how this season turns out combined with what info he gets in his draft workouts. Just thinking 60-40 he goes at this point. His athleticism etc is nba quality so he will probably go 2nd rd on that alone even though he can’t shoot. He will get more individual work in nba/g-league from coaches to help his shot. He has good form when shooting free throws so to me it’s lack of reps. All I know is without him...we would have to do some amazing work in the transfer portal to make up for what we lose.
TJD hasn’t been projected to go even in the 2nd round of the mock draft I’ve seen.

Few things... Moving screen before Sasha 3.. OSU got fouled on 3... I’ve been watching and whoever that assistant is for Purdue he draws up some incredible sets!

Purdue 3-18 from 3...

Newman shoots 41% from 3.
Counting today’s stats no. But Newman is a good shooter I forgot about him. Team is no longer 37 percent after today horrific performance. Regardless I’d put astronomical odds there will never be another game Ivey, Morton, Wheeler hit a 3 in same game. It be a shock to see 2 of them make a 3 in same game. It’s only been done once. Against us. And regardless to all that PU has won 8 straight so there isn’t a whole lot I can do to defend IU outside of that. But will see PU again in Mackey and if they don’t shot 64% from 3 I expect a good game.

As a team, we shoot 37% from 3. We’re seeing both extremes the last 3 games.
You have one good shooter Sasha. Hunter is average. Everyone else below average. Ivey, Morton, Wheeler hit 3’s against us. What a joke!! Name another game all 3 of those guys made a 3 in same game. Heck name a game 2 of those guys made a 3 in the same game. You can’t! I’ll save you the time because I already looked there isn’t one!!
but hats off to you. You had a night from 3 you won’t be able to replicate the rest of the year and probably longer than that. -

Curious, would you say the 3's they're taking vs. PSU are any more or less contested than the ones they attempted against IU?
They are not. Missing WIDE open 3’s.. Penn State is playing zone and daring them to shoot

Boilers now 1-16 from 3 at the under 4 timeout.
Combine the game before they played IU and the game after they played IU and Purdue is 4-43 from 3... they are bad! I’ll never understand why IU and Archie can’t catch a break. It’s laughable. Bob knight cursed us I guess.

Wow I just looked at PU schedule. Gotta be the easiest in the BIG. What a joke.

Screw the ranking give me Smith and Walker please!!

That’s what happens when every kid today in high school has never watched Indiana play past the sweet 16. Sad. All he has ever known and saw since being alive is that Kentucky is way ahead of IU in college basketball.

MSU is 3rd? They're 0-2 with one of those losses being to NW. They also gave up 91 points to Oakland less than 2 weeks ago.
An honest question when is the last time MSU has finished worse than 5th?
-
Iowa give up 102 lol Wisconsin clearly the best team in the BIG followed by Illinois.
1.Wisconsin2. Illinois
3. MSU
4. Iowa

I’m so sick of O$U. It’s to the point I might root for Pu when they play them
-
Rutgers getting absolutely screwed at Ohio State. O$U quickly becoming the most hated program in the BIG? Amazing how the BIG bends over backwards for them even in basketball.

Scored 24 points today in a win over Franklin Central.
Will be a star at Xavier if that’s where he ends up. I know talent when I see it. I’ve played against D1 players and programs and I’ve coached D1 players.

Any ideas why we have not offered
No idea. Not sure if we are even actively recruiting him. I think he would of blew up this summer if not for covid shutting everything down.

If you switched us and PU I’d feel like we would be right there to reach the Championship. Even tho we beat Michigan and Penn last year it’s still really hard to be able to do that with any kind of consistency with the kind of talent they are bringing in as well and having to play them on the road in front of 100,000 thousand. Beating OSU is well outside of Alabama and Clemson the hardest thing to do in college football. It be nice if we could play Michigan, Penn, and OSU every other year or so like some of the west teams.
