No, they are going into the freezer until I get home. Maybe a "big" NYE feast.

But, they have been on ice since I caught them. They say that is "humane" before you rip their freaking shell off with your bare hands. I did learn, with the biggest one I caught, that if you put them on the counter for a photo opp, and they warm up from the previously mentioned ice bath, they will pinch the living shit out of ya.

So I iced him down some more and then evicted him with extreme prejudice. :)

Freezing is fine for preservation.  I just didn't want you to waste all the time and money and the work you put in.

Crustaceans, crabs, lobster, shrimp, crayfish  break down and get ammoniated really quickly.

Crustaceans don't have a nervous system so they feel no pain.

Boil them alive and dip the meat I'd clarified butter.

    Enjoy your catch.

I've spent a huge amount of time researching this crabbin (differently than my old college days). I've seen multiple different type baits used, but the majority winners are Chicken drum sticks, Chicken and Turkey necks (cheap). I bought a 15 pack of Drumsticks for $6.02 and I think it will last me all 12 days I plan to have bait in the water. I've seen multiple video's of all types of other natural type food that a crab would normally find to eat and it seems to be about 10-15% effective. Freaking weird.

It's probably like a high school with 100 girls, 99 that are Brunette, 1 Blonde. "WHOA, she's different", It's not just statistics. :)

I could totally understand Raccoons and Oreo's, although I am not 100% sure why, it just makes sense to me. Did you use some of those new fangled Blonde Oreo's?

Nope, trapping coons with oreo cookies is easier that catching catfish on a trot line.

My very first Crab (well there’s two but ones too small). The $300 of gear I’ve bought is starting to pay off!!

anyone know a crab Taxidermist? I’m thinking about having it stuffed.

You created a new definition of chicken of the sea.  The first thing I thought is what is a chicken leg doing in there. Just interesting what baits attracts animals.

Used to get a lot of raccoons in my attic. I would live trap them using oreo cookies for bait.

My pet peeve is youth sports coaches that care more about being able to post about their wins on Facebook then actually teaching kids the game and doing what is right.

Sorry, I'm a little bitter right now 🤣. Was coaching my 6th grade travel team today and we only had 6 guys. Then we had two of our best players foul out with 11 minutes left.

Once it was down to 5 v 4, the opposing coach started pressing. Needless to say, I laid into that coach pretty good, and basically embarrassed her out of their press.

My freshman year of high school basketball there was only 6 of us. We had a full schedule for a freshman season. After getting our ass kicked a few times and being down to 3-4 against 5 in almost every game. After a few games they canceled the freshman season and added us to the JV team. And I remember having a good JV season for myself and  the team.

So I know know what it's like to do your absolute best and still get humiliated on the floor.

I can't tell if you're serious and you don't own a phone or a tv or if you're clever like a fox and have reversed this joke on me

I was responding to this which you posted, quoting me on Saturday.

"None of this changes the fact that I have been trying to reach about your cars extended warranty and you keep ignoring me."

If it was a joke it went over my head.

I had also taken a painkiller for my back pain against my better judgment.  Prescription narcotics, uh make me goofy.

I think Parker Stewart is a great shooter...when he's stepping into it, it's almost automatic...

Our problem as I see it (and those with more knowledge of the intricacies of the game can chime in) is teams are going to dare our point guards to shoot while sticking to our 2 more reliable outside shooters...I thought both TJD and Race did a good job of passing out of the double team at the end, but could only find Rob or XJ with their man sagging 10 feet off of them...I know XJ's 3 numbers are good now, but with the tighter defense of the Big 10, that water will find its level...

We have to get Stewart more than 4 shots a game...as of right now he's 27-54 from 3...right at 50%

BTW, Illinois only beat the Irish by 10 in that dump in Champaign...

My wife is from Illinois and took me to that disgusting space barn, then I showed her Assembly Hall and showed her the way.

I agree about P. Stewart, we have a couple shooters on this team.

And it’s the only one that has the channels for March madness too

That depends, I watched the tournament on paramount plus which streams CBS.  Will they do it this season, I don't know.

If they made enough money, which I'm sure they did, it gives us multiple options.

But anyway, at least we have multiple options.

We have this every year, with every team, with every coach.  There are the die hard we're the best team in the country and we have no ceiling fans.  There are the we're the same shitty team we have last year folks.  And the spectrum across the board.  Many of the complaints are legit and although harder to understand when we win, are still legit.  There are also legit points that we're a better team than the last 4 years combined.

None of this changes the fact that I have been trying to reach about your cars extended warranty and you keep ignoring me.

I'm truly sorry if I'm wrong.

Educate me on my cars warranty, honestly had no idea and im lost in the insurance world.

When did you you try to reach out to me about my cars warranty?

I'm 36 and have only owned 2 trucks and 3 cars in my life.  Been working on shit since I was 10 years old.  I do all my own work and put 350,000 plus thousand miles on multiple vehicles.

None of which had a warranty because they all expired before I owned them.

Oh, my grandpa also had a body shop, and me and my uncle Jim built dirt track cars that he raced. Pretty sure I know my way around a vehicle.

So WTF are you talking about? I don't need a GD warranty.  I do it better, cheaper when I do it myself.

So provide some proof you reached out to me. You can't, because you never have.

Imagine how much better we’d be if he made better overall decisions! Wondering if he understands he can be that energy, get to the basket, dish guy who plays tough D without taking poor shots, being out of control, and making stupid fouls.

Imagine how much better we will be when we get Tamar Bates, and Galloway back.

A bunch of Negative Nancy's think this team sucks. Honestly, I'm asking those negatives, what are your expectations?

This team will mature and I believe will surprise us.

I was looking at that today...do you like it?

I have Dish, but they're losing channels, like the local CBS channel...under normal circumstances I wouldn't care but we host Michigan on CBS January 23rd...

I know I can get CBS over the air...I just gotta figure out where the coat hanger goes in this 65 inch Samsung 😉

    Do you have roku?

Help question.  My mother in law has no internet, on purpose.  She has a good enough phone to stream and potentially cast.  She has like a 24 in tv that is not smart but has hdmis.

Is there a device that she can simply cast to from her phone?  Im getting mixed answers on a chromecast doing this.  Some say you have to have both devices on the same internet.

    https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/connect-your-android-phone-to-your-tv

Depends on if her phone is compatible but you can plug the phone in to the tv with an hdmi adapter.

I did this when my wifi was down for a week.
