If I can keep my mind and hands busy with something, I’m usually golden. But if not, I tend to obsess over things I can’t control.

I just spent the afternoon trying to fine tune my gears on an old 12 speed - took up the whole kitchen, but I felt a sense of accomplishment afterwards once I dialed everything in.

LOVED models as a kid. Built cars and the old Famous Monsters kits. I’m sure not many people remember the latter, but I was raised by Sammy Terry.

I took my model car building seriously.  Had all the paints and airbrush kits and tools.

I even once bought a bunch of kits and tried to replicate to car from the Johnny Cash song "One Piece at a time"  actually turned out well. Wish I still had it.

I hear you about getting hard to deal with. It’s just been so much. And I totally get that people are just as outraged as me, but outraged about the mandates/lockdowns.

Talking to someone is always a good thing instead of bottling it up. That way be dragons. I have some anger issues that I’m always dealing with through exercise, alcohol, and weed. I’m not always successful though.

I’ve really been into biking (and building old road bikes lately) and it’s shocking how much it’s helped my mood. I think I’m someone who always needs to have a project. And that project should not be being outraged by the news.

Growing up I was very OCD. Used to build model cars. Thinking about picking that back up.

If I have something I can focus on, it calms me down. Was much easier as a single dude. When I was single I had a solid routine that was pretty rigid. Basically lived like I was in Marine Corp boot camp. I would even make my bed in the morning and bounce a quarter off of it.

You know I love you man, but I would point out that “alot of people” are also dismissive of the roughly 800,000 US deaths so far b/c of this. And we are still averaging just under a 1,000 new deaths a day.

It’s also hard to deal with people not taking this seriously. That’s the clown show I see.

The human toll in so many ways death, mental, physical  hasn't been ignored by me.

The whole world is a clown show on all levels. Just getting hard to deal with it all.

Honestly, I'm considering using my insurance and possibly finding a professional to talk to. All of it is wearing me out.

But hey, follow the science.  Germans may put up a fight.  I know my old stubborn grandma would.

Who knows what will transpire here, but I will never be forced out of my house and separated from my family. If that's how it ends for me then so be it, but I'll go down fighting.

    This is asinine

Seems alot of people are dismissive of those that have concerns because of religious beliefs.

I remember reading the last chapter of a very old book that has some similarities to what is going on. Maybe the world needs the rapture. Getting harder to deal with this clown show.

Is every government on earth participating in the deceit?

YES.  Research World Economic Forum. The Great Reset. New World Order.

It's been over 2 damn years with no end in site. It is and has always been about control.

  7. After all this time, if people can't figure out this is all about government using a manufactured crisis to control the population and bring about the New World Order, I don't know what to tell you.

I don't fear death and will rest easy in heaven. But will rain hell on any and all comers.

No...it could change...it might not go away completely because evil will always exist but it certainly could become a very uncommon thing....but it likely won't...because the answer would require a major shift in the way we live our lives.

I agree.  And while everyone bemoans these episodes, there is no will to do anything substantial towards changing their occurrence.  So, as you stated, they are accepted... sadly.

Man, I love that strip and that quote.

We have accepted periodic school/public mass shootings as part of daily life. Just like traffic “accidents.”  It will not change in our lifetimes.

I'm going to back up @dgambillright now.

Growing up I got a gun every Christmas and birthday, had access to whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. That said, I would not do that if I had kids today. Anyway,

Would keep them in my truck and go hunting after school, no problem. Never in my life did I ever consider harming anyone. I can't fathom that.

But, whether you believe in God, Jesus, Bhudda, or whatever, there is a moral breakdown in our society that I believe is irreconcilable.

Hatred permeates our world.  How do we beat it?

All good questions. Another is what is the cause of all of the mental/emotional illness in young people? Aside from these school shooters, there is an abundance of kids suffering from all sorts of disorders. I used to work at a small college. The number of students who had severe mental and emotional issues and were on meds was shocking. It was common for security to respond to incidents of kids having a mental/emotional breakdown.

I believe the internet and social media play a large role in the mental health issues. The brain isn't fully developed until about 25 and I just don't think the human mind is built for the information overload we deal with today. JMO

Maybe this is a So Indiana thing.... no idea..... but I don't really think of a central Indiana. There is southern Indiana, northern Indiana, and the Indy area.

Greenfield=Indy area (it's in a county that touches Marion)... anything north of Hamilton Co is northern Indiana.

One of my summer college jobs took me up 69 to Detroit in May. Everything down here was in full bloom. North of Indy nothing blooming. That that difference was pretty wild.  Like 2 different climates in the same state.
