I actually remember that play, it was an incredible shot. That was my first real introduction to the Zellers.

The other three for me are:

    • Kick 6 (2013 Iron Bowl). My dad is from Alabama, he's one of five siblings and they're split between Auburn and Bama. My grandfather was an architect who went to Auburn and designed parts of the football stadium. Auburn, football in particular, is a connection to my dad and his family. That game tops them all (in terms of Auburn) and I was at the 2010 National Championship Game.
    • 2004 World Series - honestly many games from that run, but the ground out back to folk I still remember going from sitting on the floor flat out my ass to ~30-35 inches in the air (I was 15 and had pretty good hops) in less than a second. That was the first time I was alive for "my team" winning a title.
    • The Reggie Miller buzzer beater against the Bulls in '97. This is probably my earliest, vivid sports memory.

Those four plays will always be really special to me. Would love to see this thread, as much as it's a celebration of the Way Shot, turn into others talking about plays that are special to them. Who doesn't love seeing great plays?

Good you got to see the zeller shot.

I remember the 2013 iron bowl. And the 2006 rose bowl.

    Good list though.

There are 4 iconic sports plays that will always make me smile and feel joy when I see them, and this is one of them.

    What are the other 3?

I would have to think hard to remember ones that most people know.

But here is one you probably haven't seen that means alot to my home town. Cody's older brother Luke. I played with him for a year but knew his family.

Was just at a bar in Fort Greene with my wife and the two dudes next to us were Wisconsin fans. They were talking about the game and used the term “thugs” like 2 or 3 times when talking about IU.

In my head, I was like, “Dude, they allowed your trash guards to do whatever the hell they wanted in the second half. I wish we were thugs at Wisconsin instead of sheep.”

I'm guessing they were rotund and smelled of polish sausage and cheddar cheese.

I've finally trained mine that it's not ok to leave chunks of toothpaste in the sink to allow to dry up.  Like, I haven't had chunks of toothpaste fall out of my mouth while brushing since I was 5.  How is that even possible?

I swear she just stands at attention and does the sprinkler.  How hard is it to lean forward?  🤷‍♂️

  5. I'm going to dig this up from the dead.

I got tricked into doing laundry but listening to Fisch call the first half got me through it, not going to talk about the 2nd half.

Anyway, pet peeve, toothpaste.  It's everywhere, the sink, floor, mirror, my wife's chin and shirt, WTF!  It leaves bleach out marks on her clothes.

Im just gonna come right and say it, most women are unorganized and ugh...ugh..messy?...ugh..disheveled?

    Noone told me this.

Always love people drawing their lines in the sand on our staff. Duly noted for a couple regular posters on here. It was a bad 2nd half. All the way around....but some of the emotional comments on here?? Game 8 or 9 and Woodson sucks too?? Some of you guys need to be better.

I'm not concerned personally, an away game in the Kohl Center as much as I hate Wisconsin isn't easy. I remember when Wisconsin was IUs bitch, didn't lose to them for about 30 years. I just want the ratio back but there is something about that place.

Karma I guess, if UW didn't eff up IU would have never had RMK.

Bobby gets fired, UW owns us.

Bobby Knight was and is an enigma. But I have faith in Woody.

This loss is 100% on the coaching staff. It has nothing to do with subbing. The bench played fine for a stretch, and without that bogus travel call on Durr we probably win.

This is on the staff because our offense was a joke the entire 2nd half. It was slow, plodding, unimaginative and simple, and what was the worst was that it never changed.

All we had was the same high ball screen action or going to TJD on the right block and it didn't work and never changed for 20 minutes.

I have to assume that the staff told XJ to walk the ball up the court the entire second half, because he usually doesn't do that.

Archie Miller would be embarrassed by how terrible and unimaginative our offense was in rhe 2nd half.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up on this staff or team, but you know what you're talking about and I trust your analysis.

Even with what you pointed out I have more faith that this staff will improve and make adjustments than the last one. I 🤞
