  1. The best surround themselves with the best. Nobody knows everything. So fill in your knowledge gaps with those who know what you dont. For example, I could fund a project and frame a house but I dont know electrical, so I'm hiring the best electrician I can afford.
  2. Went back to edit but deleted by accident. Wanted to add that part of my thinking was in retrospect Archie's seemingly complete lack of personality. He could be firey at times on the sideline, who knows about the lockeroom. But seemed more like an introvert. Woodsen looks like the opposite to me.
  3. What IU has needed for years is to build a consistent solid foundation, 20+ win seasons and tournament annually. Start there and build it up. The more I think about it I think Woodsen can do that and prepare the program for what comes after. Just need the roller coaster to end.
  4. I had a feeling this is how it would turn out after Steven's said no. Did not see iu paying the money for the other guys. And why would they leave when they are having success at their current jobs. I'm just anxious to see the team and staff he puts together. And how could you not have a little optimism having a 2000+ career scorer on the bench of one of the worst shooting teams I've ever seen. Improving that alone will win more games. I think the defensive foundation is mostly set if enough current players come back.
  5. Wish you a speedy recovery Steve! Lol.
  6. So, it's time to buy the wife a new car. Shes been driving our pos 2007 Silverado for too long. Now that we can afford it she wants a new car. And let's be real, I want her to be safe in her ride. We already have a Ford Fusion we got late last year. Love it. She wants either a Fusion or a Hyundai Sonata. The Hyundai looks like a really good option. Anyone have experience with Hyundai?
  7. How will you spend you're stimulus check?
  8. I'm gonna miss mile's contributions to this thread. Trying to order seeds but I guess everyone else is too. Sold out all over the place.
  9. Dont drink anymore but when I did would pick up a single or two on the way to brown county. Great campfire beer. If you can find Upland Oktoberfest this fall give that a try. If not, heck I'll mail you some.
  10. I'm wanting to replace all of my switches and receptacles with the decorative style. We'll see if it happens.
  11. Did you build it yourself? My grandpa on my mom's side built his own house and body shop and ran a successful business his whole life as a high school dropout. I'm about to overhaul my house now that I will have the time and money. If I could I would build my own one day. Only thing I would contract out would be plumbing and electrical. Run the pipes and wires and I will install the fixtures. This weekend replacing a ceiling fan, overhead light fixture and thinking about installing a GFCI receptacle with built in USB port by the kitchen sink. I remodeled a room when I first moved in. Put in a closet to make it technically a bedroom. Still pissed they screwed up the drywall. Pro tip when doing drywall, ceiling is first then walls. That way the ceiling will rest on the wall at the joint. My shop teacher in high school taught me alot. Also, my uncle David worked as an independent contractor installing drywall. Woof that got windy.😁
  12. IThere is a lady that I used to buy peppers from at the Bloomington farmers market, which got ruined who wouldn't show up to sell until about the first week of May. Every thing I got from her was a bumper crop. The Chile Woman SME indeed.
  13. All I know is when this is all over I dont ever want to hear the word mask again. Maybe call them face thongs or something.
  14. I feel like I'm behind but its Indiana so we will get the inevitable cold spell before drought season starts.
  15. Challenger explosion Never heard about this before https://www.npr.org/2021/03/07/974534021/remembering-allan-mcdonald-he-refused-to-approve-challenger-launch-exposed-cover?
  16. Still waiting on my sword I bought a few weeks ago. My wife doesn't know I'm about to spend $$$ tomorrow. But I promised to by her a new car at the end of April so it's all good.
  17. Putting this in the music thread instead of the audiophile one. My favorite Dire Straits song.
  18. Some recommended reading. 'The impossible is not impossible': The push to make Covid-19 vaccines at record speed It takes about five or six weeks to genetically engineer and then grow, purify, and finish the vaccine before it can be bottled and sealed and sent on its way to be distributed to vaccine centers. Put another way, Dr. Paul Stoffels, chief scientific officer for Johnson & Johnson, told CNN, "you can't accelerate it by yelling at it."
  19. This is what irritates me about people. A private business is a free enterprise. They have the right to set their own rules. Dont like it dont shop their. I value my freedom and respect others too. Why this is such a difficult concept for people I dont know.
