  1. I know, I assumed as much, besides you know this as well as anyone,….It’s just, THAT kind of player works/plays in a different gear than most others. You get more players like him, same motor, drive, mindset and expectations then this team becomes a “dangerous machine”. I’m not sure many fans on here are truly giving Woodson and Co. a chance. I mean, do they really know how valuable each one of his assistants are and their successful impact to the college game? I’m just as frustrated with road losses AND the continued turnovers as anyone, but this is NOT the same kind of IU team we’ve been used the past 15 years…. The difference with this team is,….it finally has coaches (specifically, Woodson & Fife) who ate, slept and breathed INDIANA BASKETBALL. Most importantly, they both played crucial parts in helping establish the “Dangerous Machine”, INDIANA BASKETBALL!
  2. Why would you say that? That's the kind of player Coach Woodson and Co. want for the future of IU ....a skilled, strong defender with a high bb IQ and scoring threat. We are seeing signs of Woodson's stamp on this team or what he is looking for and expecting. This roster needs more skilled guards or impact players like him to take over games. IMHO, next year's incoming class is going to be special.
  3. Lander's defense is not up to Coach Woodson's requirements.... Don't get me wrong, I love Lander and want him to play, but until he can become visibly stronger and faster, he's going to have to wait his turn. Most kids can handle sitting on the bench and that's why they leave. Kids who truly want to play for a university and it's coach will do the extra work required to get the minutes.
  4. It's hard to believe that we swept them last year. This game had a lot of motivating factors for them. There was definitely "blood in the water" for Iowa in the second half!
  5. Every opposing teams defensive strategy the rest of the year…… 1. Watch 2nd half of Iowa game. 2. Use 2/3 & 3/2 zone till it can be broken. 2. After made baskets, use 1-2-2 full court press till it can be broken. We're supposed to be "elite" defensively, but WE have struggled against teams not known for strong defenses.....so frustrating!
  6. As poorly as we played the second half tonight,…..I think we go onto win by 3 if we would have consistently broke their full court/1-2-2 press at the end of the game.
  7. I just can’t get past the fact that of Iowa’s 83 pts scored, 34 of those points were scored due to IU’s turnovers.
  8. This is the Wisconsin game all over again….
  9. Not me....Something tells me that Irsay and Ballard plan on "kicking a few tires".....JMHO. 🧐
  10. Yep, go get one of those kind of QB's and move on. I do like Target...🤩
  11. Don't you agree though?.....Good grief, if Irsay IS going to open up his pocket book then he should have some say in the deciding factor.
  12. Well, Colts owner made a bold statement yesterday about the future of this team. "The buck stops with me, and this experience makes me even more determined to bring Indiana a contending team. We are already working toward the future, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to put us in a position to win next year and for years to come." IMO, doing "whatever it takes" means he ABSOLUTELY, HAS TO open up his pocket book much more than he's used to. Put your money where your mouth is.
  13. Paul Randolph, new DL coach hired by Tom Allen….
  14. Thank you! That $#it just wears me out, OMG…..!!😤
  15. I love this "Classic Knight" response about motivating a player. Short, sweet and to the point!
  16. Colt’s Ryan Kelly came out with the Alabama captains for the coin toss. Pretty cool!
  17. Indiana finally getting some votes in this weeks coaches poll. I saw where they are at #32 with 12 votes..... It's nice to be ranked nationally, but it also comes with much responsibilities.
  18. I love this twitter post from IU's tight ends coach! Coach Kevin Wright @CoachWrightIU · 23h Successful teams and organizations consist of people who are bought in and really want to be there. .....most likely confirms that the previous coaches were not on the same page as CTA. Looks like Coach Allen means business!
  19. #59 is not reciprocating.....probably because IF he did decide to hug Coach back, his arms and hands would be around his "cheeks"! 🤣
  20. Agree.....What we saw season is not the type of defense that CTA likes to see, or be associated with. I see CTA's defense as much more "smash mouth", attacking from all angles.....
  21. I interpreted the signing of Wentz was sort of a short term fix until they can find their “Franchise QB”.
  22. I hate to hear this, but it’s truly the nature of this business…. We will do the same to another team. Coach Allen knows defense and he will find his guy. Not worried…
  23. I feel this couple be a blessing in disguise. Though our defense was descent this year, it could have been much better. Here’s to hoping Coach Allen finds another gem!
  24. Yep… It’s part of the “business” of college basketball. No guarantees, hardest worker, most productive, best man gets the most minutes…
