  1. I guess I’m basing it merely on his defensive skill set. IMO, he’s THAT important to IU right now. He’s a prototypical, “give it everything I’ve got and more”, when he’s on the floor. If he had an equitable offensive side to go along with his defense, then he would be dangerous.

  3. “Mr. Galloway, reporting for duty, Sir!” I would say Trey is on an Island all by himself with this IU roster.
  4. He is definitely a difference make on the floor like Brad Davidson….minus the deadly 3pt shooting.
  5. In 9+ losses last year we weren’t even close to leading at any point in the second half of games…..
  6. I know your trying to be funny, but it's a perfect example to how devoted and invested certain players to IU, the coaching staff, the players and the fans. If I'm an IU player, I don't want to disappoint any of them, so I put in the work needed. Those kind of players are called "gym rats". You can't keep them out! They're also the type of players you hate to play against and wish you had on your team. We don't have a Brad Davidson type player on our team and haven't for decades......
  7. Here’s and something to think about. For example, over the past several decades we haven’t consistently been able to beat the likes of Ohio St. and Michigan State. Coach Matta’s Buckeye teams were loaded with talent and had the wins to prove it. Dane Fife was with Michigan State for 10 years and had his hand in recruiting and coaching top talent for the Spartans. Both have been consistent, winning programs all while IU has spent over 20+ years trying to find it’s way back. The point of my post is this,…..”We couldn’t beat ‘em so we brought ‘em to IU.” This entire coaching staff has been part of successful programs for years. When are the players in question going to take full responsibility for their constant shortcomings and get better? How much extra work do “some of these kids” put in on their own, outside of practice, shooting free throws, 3 pointers, jump shots etc.? I’m not trying to single any player out, but there comes a time when a coach has encouraged, inspired, motivated and shown a player what needs to happen. It’s then on the player to dig within himself to find and produce those results if he wants it bad enough.
  8. Thank you for this post. Short, sweet and to the point. I think many may be overlooking or forgetting that this is year one with a brand new coaching staff, new beliefs, new mindset and different priorities. Coach Woodson and Co. wants a certain type of product on the floor. He is getting a mixed bag of results due to the current personnel. Way more positives this year that any of the past 2 or 3. Coach Woodson and Co. will right the ship. We may just squeak out an NCAA birth, but if next years crop looks much more promising.....
  9. I understand your thinking S. I just like that we have finally established some legit keystone pieces. I would hate for them to be considered as trade options because of their high value. These guys give the Colts and edge and an attitude. It’s almost like they are “family”. We have to find other ways imho…
  10. I’m sorry, but posts like, this after a game, are just absolutely ridiculous.!!! Good Grief!! 🤬 I try to bite my tongue, but MAN, I’m just as frustrated as anyone. The best thing Coach Woodson did last game was to bench those 5 players! That’s takes a bigger man to do what he did.
  11. ….ONLY via the Pacers, young man! Assembly Hall will NEVER be your court….
  12. I guess I would be considered “long in the tooth!”🤣🤣🤣
  13. That explained it…..texting and driving….🤣🤣
  14. Not to change the subject and all due respect, from one IU ol’ timer to the next, but are you texting and driving?😂😂
  15. My wife and my two married daughters are all the same way! All things in my house are scheduled around IU Football and Basketball. It’s just the way we have always done it and love it. My wife’s a hair stylist and will call or text me for the time and channel so she can watch it at work! Man I love that woman!!! 😍😁
  16. Yep… It wasn’t anything to see Knight sit his starters and empty his bench without hesitation. When he was pi$$d with poor play and/or player violations, his starters got feel how uncomfortable it was to “ Ride the Pine!”
  17. I put this loss solely on those 5 benched players….
  18. This is the feeling I hope we have when the Colts figure out the the QB situation…
  19. NW has always been close within 5 or 7 win or lose. They will be expecting to take advantage of IU’s poor play vs. Illinois.
  20. Man, just looking at Haliburton, he sort of looks a little like former Pacer, Danny Granger.
  21. I thought the same thing…..It looked like a slow motion, walk through, pre game drills. I looked at all the people in the stands and thought, “ how boring for them!”
  22. Win this game and we get into the top 25.
  23. I have been thinking about this for some time now…. I know Trayce will play in the NBA, the question is when. Dale Davis was one of my favorite players for the Pacers besides the obvious, Reggie Miller! I loved how Dale handled himself. He wasn’t flashy,…. but he, along with Antonio Davis were a force down low back in the day. Trayce is 6’ 9” and 245 lbs. He HAS to continue to get bigger and stronger to play meaningful minutes in the NBA. His dad, Dale was 6’ 11” and 252 lbs at his peak with the Pacers. Look at Dale, just 2” taller and only 7 lbs heavier than Trayce. Big Fella swatting Shaq.
