........This may be too soon or seem a bit insensitive the day after a tough loss,.... but I just couldn't stop laughing at Mamaw as she appears "sluggish from goat meat" (SNL) and "ankles being broke" from guarding her grandson!....lol Somehow, I think IU felt a bit like this last night. You gotta be able to laugh a bit. 🤣 Sorry, but not sorry. lol

I can specifically remember two former coaches since Coach Knight that would sometimes use excuses after a poor performance or loss....

I read a post Trayce made that has really stuck out in my mind and I can't stop thinking about it. He was speaking about Coach Woodson........"He's almost like our dad in the sense where we can come to him for a lot of things, and he's going to help us out and do whatever he needs to do," Jackson-Davis said. His statement says a lot about this team's commitment to Indiana Basketball and belief in their head coach! Every time Coach Woodson speaks about his team and his players, you can tell deep down inside that he truly loves those boys! Now that's an encouraging and refreshing feeling.

Roger That! I'm super excited. I'm just glad that they aren't playing in the middle of the day. I'm a HS teacher and the BIGTEN Tourney being on during class time was brutal. Now I can go home, drink a few and watch them play sitting in my recliner. Also, I won't have to help or answer questions from those meddling kids in class while the game is on...LOL!! .....I kid though.....I love teaching and love my students! During the first game in the BTT vs. Michigan, I was getting so angry and frustrated because of IU's poor play, that I turned the game off in class. I was noticing that I was becoming short with some of my kids when they were asking for help. I decided very quickly that it was time to turn off the game and get ahold of myself. I had already decided then that we were most likely going to lose. Well, we all know how that turned around.......lol

I love reading opposing teams post game pressers. Sorry if this has already been posted, but Wyoming's Maldonado, Ike and Coach Linder had nothing but respect and high praises for IU. Reading positive comments like that about IU and the BIGTEN shows true class and respect. One comment stuck out from Coach Linder really impressed me........ "Now they know what it feels like, what it feels like to play a Big Ten team. They made a run in the Big Ten Tournament and got some big players. And (Indiana head) coach (Mike) Woodson does a great job with those guys. You want to go beat a Big Ten team on the road in the NCAA Tournament, you've got to find a way to make sure your body is ready to go to play against a Race Thompson, a Xavier Johnson, a Trayce Jackson-Davis. I think it's just going to allow us to take another step, a big step as a program. ......I love "sniffing" around the opposing team's message board! Many are focusing on IU's early morning, airport issues and the hope of being very tired for their game. Their "chest's are pretty puffed out" too!

I don't think they are anything close to soft...... This will be a tough game. As a former coach, I emphatically told my players before every game..... "Respect your competition!"

We are finally looking like a team with tremendous fight! The past several years or decade, we were so accustomed to playing very inconsistent, lacking confidence, then ultimately loosing ugly.

This option may be needed to increase bandwidth ........

totally agree!....Like I posted yesterday before the game, If Geronimo plays, it will be a huge upgrade for IU. Trey ABSOLUTELY HAS TO see the floor as much as possible. His defense is stellar and his court awareness on offense is impeccable. JMHO
