  1. We’ve been eating in for several weeks now here in Georgia, and I can say that it’s still mandatory for waitstaff to wear masks. Patrons are optional! Some do and some don’t! Sorry about the loss in your family!

  3. “Into the wild” bus removed as it presented a dangerous hazard to hikers trying to reach it! https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/19/us/into-the-wild-bus-removed.html
  4. So today as I was driving toward the trail head about a mile from my house I had to pull over to let a rescue truck towing a Deere Gator go by. As I went by the trail parking lot there was already a fire truck there. Obviously there was some kind of medical emergency out on the trail! Be safe my brothers and sisters when you go out and about in the wilderness!
  5. Used to live on Crystal Lake about an hour north of Lansing Michigan, where the sound of jet skis could be heard sun up to sun down!. Would take the kids to the close by Duck lake so we could tube without the excess so to speak! Have a lakeside family cabin of more than 100 years in Northern Wisconsin. Everyone in the family agrees it is the most peaceful place in the world! Completely understand the peacfulness of Lime Lake, you are blessed my friend!!
  6. Besides Mile's big moment, that lasts a lifetime! June 19th, In the news and if you are ignorant like me this is Juneteenth! "it commemorates Union army general Gordon Granger announcing federal orders in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, proclaiming that all slaves in Texas were free! I'm sure there will be a parade tomorrow in town here in rural Georgia, and now that I know the meaning I may go stand on the side and cheer! Even though I hate parades!
  7. Well Done! I forget are you on Lime Lake or Lake Gage? I remember floating around Lime Lake on inner tubes all afternoon with a couple of nice girls and my friend and there weren't any houses that looked anywhere near that nice. Of course it was 45 years ago and I MAY have been more interested in the ladies than the architecture!
  8. From Specialty Butchers to local brands, the best bacon in every state. https://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/foodnews/the-best-bacon-in-every-state/ss-BB15IskN?ocid=spartandhp
  9. Could I borrow him? I have a rat that has escaped the live trap twice, sprung the spring trap probably 4-5 times and twice drug the glue trap away never to be seen again? Even the stray cat that loves my deck is useless!
  10. Who was that Chinese player that was almost 8’?
  11. You have to believe everything on the internet! https://www.ispot.tv/ad/7VOE/state-farm-the-internet-and-french-model
  12. A YouTube video produced by Journeyman Pictures sharing Olszewski's experience was released on Tuesday. Since its release, health workers like Turntable Health founder Dr. Zubin Damania -- or ZDoggMD on YouTube -- have refuted her claims, calling her a conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer with a personal agenda. There is now a Change.org petition demanding an investigation into her career.
  13. I remember one time I went brain dead trying to remember the name of the lead singer of a famous band, riding in a car with a few friends, all of a sudden I yell out Mick Jagger! Everyone thought I was on drugs!
  14. I’ve had those moments, days, months! Blame it on Covid, everyone else does!
  15. Finally I understand why my daughter dropped out of nursing school, she said the doctors she worked with were idiots and yet thought they were god’s! Thanks to and praying for this girl!
  16. I always loved the story that someone in the locker room filled his glove with shaving cream and he supposedly went over the top ballistic!
  17. Small sample size and just my gut assessment of following the Georgia curve since things started opening up. The number of cases have had a couple of additional humps as people have been going out and about. Most doing their part of social distancing. Many not though. On the other hand deaths has been on a steady decline. Seems to me the at risk people are taking care of themselves but the ones not as much at risk are not doing such a good job. I see this every day going back and forth to work!
  18. Thanks mile, and here are 9 copycat recipes that Taco Bell says are almost as good as the real thing. https://www.tacobell.com/blog/copycat-recipes
  19. I cheated, 😝 You would be correct! I love this quote “The pitching mound during batting practice isn’t the safest place to be, but I wouldn’t trade places with the President of the United States.” His game before the long hiatus was with the NL’s Brooklyn Robins? Never knew that, I always remember the Dodgers!
  20. To go that long I'm guessing military service had something to do with the long pause.
