  1. My friend who has friends she talks with weekly in Italy, France and Spain posted awhile ago, which I reposted here. In Spain, things are so repressive that neighbors are renting dogs to walk just so they can get out of their apartment! The dogs have as you see here are done with needlessly walking! Worse, in case you haven't paid attention, Spain about a week ago outlawed dog walking! This is not funny!
  2. Reacher, Not to call you out instead maybe support you, just happened to be the first post I saw when I opened the thread. Love you brother! That being said, any body (experts or otherwise) that are comparing situations locally with some other situation around the country or worse the world is living the fools life! Things are not the same!! China', when they locked down they "LOCKED DOWN", no parties on the beach, no I'm going to church and on and on excuses! When they went back to work,(which I'm thankful for as I deal weekly with vendor input from China, including Wuhan) things are still not the same! The facilities in China are usually campuses, where the employees work 7/12 work weeks! They live at work and as much as you and I may find this disgusting, when they go to work they give up their bunk bed to the person coming off shift! Going back to work they were and are still effectively in quarantine! Concerning Sweden, I don't really know the situation. However, I'll leave you all with this thought. My niece used to live in Fargo, she told me stories of frequent Ice Storms that shut everything down. Wasn't in the national news(go figure) But everyone would gather in the community center with their generators and food, essentially it all became a community block party to the nth degree! Imagine a whole country that realizes you can't drive by a car with blinkers on, the people involved are now in a life or death situation! Things are NOT the same as your own reality!
  3. Actually as a competitor, am looking forward to being at the forefront going back to work! Bring it on!!
  4. Don't disagree. But here I am, I'm going back to work Tuesday almost guaranteed! I'm all in for my friends on the line!
  5. So, our plants last announcement as it has been all through this, they are following Governance. The last scheduled plant opening, ( which has changed weekly, we would open 4/27/2020)! After today, it is almost guaranteed to open Tuesday the 27th! There will be enhanced protections like everyone gets their temperature checked before entering and there will be a plant wide sterilization prior. There will also be enforcements I'm sure of distancing and safety, but yeah I guarantee we go back to work Tuesday!
  6. Yeah, Yeah, I've been there in states that don't allow you to pump your own gas! SO WHAT! I used to supervise a department of UAW employees that had three of the top ten seniority employees on a campus of 2700! What is pissing me off, is that in a thread about Coronavirus, you all have just blown by my announcement that I am now at the forefront of the next battle! I'm going back to work Tuesday as a 66 year old, and I am ecstatic about it! Not for me, but for my friends on the line that must be on life support financially! Praying it all works out for the best my friends!
  7. Well, I guess I get to move to the front of the NEW battle ground! Georgia just announced that starting Friday they will start reopening the State. Almost positive our plant of formerly 100's of workers will open again Tuesday. Albeit with some safety conditions! I'm in the danger zone being 66, but I'm Okay with it! I'm ecstatic that our line workers are going to be back at work! They are sorely underpaid and have to be on life support financially! Times will be different after all of this, and as sick as this may sound I'm actually ready to go into the mix of the next battle! Whish everyone well!
  8. In case you missed it I had posted this in the Coronavirus Diet thread. ____________________________________________________________________________ I was going to put this in the Best of Each state thread, but I liked the explanation in the first slide about the effects of CV on the resteraunt industry with over 100,000 resteraunt' s expected to close permanently?? So I'm putting it here. I know a café we eat at regularly, had adopted a car hop service in order to stay open. If you can get out and safely support the resteraunt' s still open, well use your best judgment! The best Take Out in each State! All of these were supposedly still open two weeks ago! https://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/restaurantsandnews/the-best-takeout-restaurant-in-every-state-according-to-yelp/ss-BB122D73?ocid=spartandhp#image=1
  9. Pad Thai for Georgia as well, and several other states. I'm sure there are several in the Atlanta area, but I can tell you there isn't any around these here parts!
  10. This one should be easy, except that it is even before my time. Olympic gold medalists, played professional basketball, football and baseball!
  11. You guys are way ought of my league!! I’ll stick to trying to find questions, although you have blown me out of the water on those!
  12. Since I live in GA I’ll go with Hershel
  13. Dennis Rodman, am I close?
  14. I was looking for something else and stumbled upon this bit of NFL history which I am sure even you experts won’t know. One of the most infamous moments in NFL history when a fumbled ball was picked up by a defensive lineman and ran 66 yards into the wrong end zone! Give me either the running back who fumbled or the wrong way lineman.
  15. Since you remember the game at least tell us which team he played on and I’ll give you his name.
  16. I tried to look the record up but they started with 80 yard touchdown passes. I think the kickoff return was a lot quicker! You could be right but at least it was the first! And you sir are correct about the teams! Probably going to be tough to come up with the player name as that play was about his only time to shine. His initials are DW
  17. Hint, if you are a Thanksgiving Football fanatic, you probably saw it too!
  18. Remember this game, and not sure how the rules of OT have changed but back in the day it was sudden death with kickoffs. What player scored probably the quickest NFL OT win in history with the First OT kickoff return touchdown?
  19. Hah told you I needed to step up my game with questions, you all are to good! His name was Tommy and his other teammate was Chester.
