Went to Walmart yesterday in the smaller city where I work to get a connector. Decided to walk by the grocery side to see the craziness. It looked kind of like Christmas with all the people and there were some select shelves that were pretty much empty, but nothing like what you are describing. This morning went into town here in rural GA. The parking lot at Piggly Wiggly looked like any other Saturday morning, went into Walgreens to pick up a med and their limited grocery isle was full, decided to buy some soup as it was on sale. The TP shelf was low but still about 2/3rds full. And this is the area that empties the bread and milk shelves if there is just a threat of snow!

Going out to lunch yesterday with coworkers, it was brought up, did anyone remember such craziness about a disease? Swine flu, MERS, SARS were all brought up, but nothing like this could be remembered! Is this worldwide hysteria justified or is this just something even more concerning in that it is just a symptom of the on-line mass misinformation?

So, just looked it up. Globally there are 150,000 confirmed cases! Ohio must be the epicenter!

So talking with my son tonight who is big time in construction management, they actually need DUST masks to do their work. They can not get them because they are all sold out! Doing some research, standard DUST masks are not all that effective against virus! This thing is WAY out of control! Edit: As we ended the call, he and my daughter-in law were going in to tour the hospital that had the first reported coronavirus patient in the US! Why, because that is where my next Grandbaby is going to be born! This is just another version of Flu, which by the way is still going around!

I miss the days of the local newspaper in St Louis Michigan, the front page always had a picture of kids playing at the park, or some community event honoring somebody, something always positive. None of the death, mayhem and politics on the front page picture!

Have to tell a story. So my physical address is in one small town and my PO Box is in another small town about 3 miles away. I've gotten to know people in both Post Offices, so most times no matter how something ships I still receive it. Amazon is the worst because you order 3 things on an order and they will ship 3 different ways. Soooo I decided about a year ago as a result of the Grill Season thread Mile has already linked I decided to order a smoker. Since two engineers I used to work with went to work for MasterBuilt in Columbus GA, I decided to order a smoker from them. Unfortunately, that smoker is still stuck in some kind of Fed Ex purgatory!!! To this day I have never smoked anything! Already thinking about trying to order another one. Thanks Jaybob!
