  1. Totally, I don't think he is being forced out. But sounds like Woodson was not utilizing Matta much either. I think Dolson's plan to have "babysitters" did not work out like was intended.
  2. Shows how much attention I paid, did not realize they played Baylor.
  3. The tournament is about matchups too. UNC has had their path cleared in the same manner that Purdue did. One bad game from a top seed in the early rounds can really make a difference for a 4 or 5 seed.
  4. Not to open up a can of worms, but that might be Woodson getting the last of what he wants too.
  5. Good. I prefer Mike right where he is at. And the way the very few Butler fans acted around their good run, I am more than happy to see that program find its traditional level. (Solid team but not the next coming they thought they were.)
  6. Where's the option for Davison and Buss?
  7. I don't know where the heck you found that, but I am impressed.
  8. You suck. Didn't want you to feel left out. 😛
  9. The elephant in the room just sneezed.
  10. Yes, if you allow me to make one last point. Rabjohns and sites like Peegs (or this one) but mostly those paid sites can be a blessing and a curse. When things are going well in the program, the inside scoop is great. Leal saved a coed's cat out of a tree? Freaking awesome. TJD and Race are reading books to Kindergartners at the local elementary school? Rock on. XJ was seen in a verbal altercation with a guy calling himself Coach Shep at Kilroy's? Not the best look but I like the kid's fire. When things are going bad...ugh. Everything gets dissected and the worst is just assumed (guilty). We have had so many ugh off seasons it just sucks. Blame Dane, blame Woody, blame Scott, blame Rabby, whatever...it just sucks to have this happen again. We have some positive momentum in the program that was overshadowing some of the questions. It just sucks to be here...again. I hope we don't hire another IU guy as the next assistant. I think things should be better established before we go that route again.
  11. Things would change on #2 if not correct, but not #1. Rabjohns was a hatchet man and nothing is going to change my opinion on that. Completely agree with your last statement.
  12. For me, it doesn't really matter. If he did do that stuff, fine, he should have been fired. My beef is really more with 2 things: 1. I don't like the way it was handled with the statements. Where there is probably some disagreement is with Rabjohns' role in everything. With something like this, I think Rabjohns does not go as cut throat without someone at Indiana telling him to go for it. I don't like that with an Indiana guy. We had a dude who was a Duke guy and actively recruiting for them and he got treated better than that. That is my biggest beef. 2. Fife's reaction to this is not right if everything we have heard is true, but the way Woodson is doing his assistants (reportedly) is not something I think is a great idea. He came in talking about collaboration and all that, but it is clear that the guys he wants to collaborate with are not officially on staff. I don't think that is a recipe for success if you are looking to being in motivated assistants. JMO.
  13. I have zero problem with you. I think we agree more than we disagree.
  14. Might be a good fit for him. Then again, he is a 4 year guy, has faced injuries, Rob may be ready to do something else.
  15. Agree to disagree. And I really need to stick with my initial plan and stop responding.
  16. Yeah it is an if. I have no proof of any of that and anyone I am hearing it from has reasons to couch whatever Fife did in as negative a way as possible. I wouldn't take Fige's side of this as gospel either because I bet he has a whole bunch of not so comfortable things to say about Woodson as well, but he would be biased too.
  17. You missed the sarcasm. Dane has blame. Woody has blame. The IU admin has blame. One of the mafia lieutenants has fallen out of favor and now everyone that has reasons to stay on the Don's good side is lining up to shove a knife in. Not disputing that mistakes and bad decisions are possible on Fife's side, I am just not sucking up the current narrative out there right now because it is all coming from people who have reasons to stick a knife in someone's back. Their livelihoods literally depend on getting in line. Something I was just asking people to keep in mind with everything that is coming out. And the guy getting the shiv is at a real disadvantage because future job prospects almost demand he keep his mouth shut in public and not defend himself. All I am saying is that some of you are really quick to pile on and take things as true based on what basically IU Pravda is telling you. Just realize that any kernel of truth to this story right now is being given a spin.
