Good start. Gotta figure out something better to do with the ball if they are going to basically double Ware before he even gets the ball.
Would have loved to see Ware throw the ball of the dude's foot there. Don't feel like you see that as much as you used to.

Interesting that Cupps took that off-balanced jumper. To my mind he hasn't been looking to shoot up to this point in the season, that suggests to me that he has it in his head (I would assume because Woodson told him) to shoot more.

Granted, we're getting our asses kicked, but listening to these announcers talk about Auburn, I'm thinking they must be about 30-0 so far this year and back-to-back national champs.

Can anyone explain how Auburn got from 18 to 20 points?
Maybe our guy got caught in the net? I didn't see that.

They called basket interference? I'm not sure.

I missed the beginning - is every one but X and Newton playing?
-
I don't know the letter of the law here, does it matter that the Auburn kid stepped forward into MM?

Guess we'll agree to disagree. That's ok.
When you were watching for the first time, you felt good that we were about to get a bucket? If you did, then I'm good with agreeing to disagree, but I'd be absolutely shocked if he's been as high as 20% on that shot at this point in his IU career.

I don't have time to re-watch that one right now, but that's very possibly it. Is that a shot you want him to take? Has he made shots from there more than 10% of the time? Even if that's him catching the ball right there, I don't want him shooting it, but I remember it as him driving to that spot, elevating and looking just like Kobe right up until you see the flight of the ball. Again, great shot for Kobe to take, pretty good shot for JHS to take, I wish Kopp would have taken those. Terrible shot for Gunn.

It’s not a fluke. He’s long and active. Calming down on his shot too. Investing in him may pay off. His length with mobility is not that common.
That's still wishful thinking to say he's calming down on his shot. He launched a crazy mid-range jumper that would have been a great shot for Kobe, but was terrible for him. Two made 3's doesn't convince me he's found his range. The rest of his game is really coming along, though.

With commercials you can't skip. What a crock we're paying for.
That was not my experience. Were there different levels of subscriptions? I use Firefox with my adblocker on (despite their warnings that I needed to turn it off, things worked just fine with it on) and it showed zero ads in the replay. Even live, it just had an annoying we will be back logo and no ads.

In the three games he was healthy he was tied for second in shot attempts two of the games and tied for third the other game. Averaging 9 shots a game. 10 attempts was leader two of the games and the game he was 3rd Reneau took 13 and Ware took 11 and X took 9. To me it’s his decision making. So if he’s being passive to you then I think it’s at the wrong times and if he’s being aggressive to me it’s been at the wrong times. The one that really sticks out is he got a rebound in traffic and instead of waiting on traffic to clear out he instantly started dribbling and someone came behind him and they scored instantly and it was a pivotal part in the UCONN game. It was a huge 4 point swing when we were down 5 and threatening.
Don't forget about the rocket pass he threw to Gunn that Superman himself couldn't have caught.

First few games, I feel like Ware's rebounds were just him being tall. Now he's going to get them. MM hasn't gotten enough credit for doing the same all year.

That might have been the single worst moving screen I have ever seen and it goes uncalled - unreal.

#5. Not past 10 points. So blowouts don't factor. Barely beating bad teams by less than 10 evidently hurts and beating teams by at least 10 helps. But beating them by 10 or 30 is the same. According to the graphic you just posted.
I think you're both ignoring that a blowout is going to have a pretty big impact on efficiencies.

So if you're "efficient" in making FGs (high percentage) that really doesn't matter if your FGAs are low...
The graphic you posted earlier does not support that. Efficiency is just a slightly fancier fg%.... which is improved when you dunk all over weak competition.

Ehhh.. I'm in on the SEC. Any rep they get is deserved.
1. UM
2. Wash
3. UGA
4. Texas
would by my 4. Sorry, but there isn't a way for me to believe UGA isn't in the Top 4.
No way Georgia is making it. Conference championships matter.

Does anyone know how this show works - are they going to give us an hour of BS and reveal the teams at 12:50 or do they get right to it because other outlets will get the info?

They had UGA #1 a week ago, I don't understand how you could drop them out of the top 4 with a 3pt loss to a Top 10 team on a neutral field.
That's fair. But, they had OSU #2 two weeks ago. I don't understand how you could drop them out of the top 6 with a 6 point loss to the number 1 team on a road field.

The AP got things just about right. I'd probably put OSU over Georgia, but they nailed the rest. Hope the committee follows suit.

I’d imagine that commercial was probably made before yesterday’s games. I just can’t see an argument for Georgia over Alabama, and I can’t see an argument for Alabama over Texas.
I think you really have to emphasize past years to see an argument for Alabama over FSU.

One thing I know is that the ‘chosen’ are going to be argued about for years to come. One thing I agree with Urban on, going to 12 teams isn’t going to stop the arguments!
For sure, but it becomes less consequential. If the argument right now was between Ole Miss and Oklahoma, I just wouldn't care: either team would be out in the first round or two and unless it's my team on the bubble, I just don't care. Similar to Bubble teams in March, I care a lot when it's us, but hardly pay attention when it isn't.
Am I correct that the SEC's biggest out of conference win is Missouri beating currently 25th ranked K-Sate by 3 at Missouri? Why are we so convinced that either Georgia or Alabama is so good? Because of the number of 5 star recruits?

One thing that gets me about the best/deserving commentary is there is almost no talk about losses! Another thing is why has everyone seemingly forgotten about OSU?! People gleefully talk about how OSU was gifted a win against ND but whitewash the hail mary victory over Auburn just a week ago? ND is a better team than Auburn and it’s not close!
I think you have to give a fair bit of weight to being a conference champion. That puts OSU and Georgia out. If you don't put any weight at all on that, then I agree, those two have very strong arguments, but as it stands, they're out.

Amazing that a hail mary 8 days ago is the reason in 2 hours we'll have this mess.
Best 4 teams are in no order Michigan, Georgia, Bama, Washington.
Deserving teams Michigan, Washington, FSU, and Texas
Arguments. Texas beat Bama. Georgia only lost 1 game by 3 points. FSU struggled with Florida and Louisville in victory.
Missing from your statement is that Bama struggled with a bad Auburn team and only beat them on some 4th down luck. Also missing is that the refs gifted Bama a TD last night by not reviewing that catch at the end of the first half. That's struggling more than a 9 point road win against Florida and 10 point neutral field win against a ranked Louisville.
edit: I see that it is in fact not missing, but I think being underemphasized by the ESPN types.
