  1. I feel much better about Castellanos coming back even if he opts out than I did about Bauer last year which turns out was a blessing they let him walk. I also think this group of players feel like there is unfinished business in 2022 and Joey Votto said so himself that the team needs to focus on winning 90 games in 2022 to make the playoffs. Here's a good article with some comments from Votto on 2021 and heading into 2022. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/mlb/reds/2021/10/04/what-does-2022-hold-for-joey-votto-cincinnati-reds/5984785001/
  2. Who made that list because it's not the most accurate thing in the world? Nevermind. The kid I was looking for actually was on the list. Looks like @ricoand I both still need to wake up lol
  3. The Reds offense went to crap when Winker got hurt. They survived for a week or two after the injury because Naquin got hot then he cooled off and got hurt too. Then the offense struggled for a couple weeks and the starting pitching wasn't great for a couple of different reasons while at the same time the Cardinals lost their freaking minds. I really hate the freaking Cardinals
  4. Just finding ways to help out the Cardinals 🤮
  5. The only teams I will 100% say that are better than the Pacers in the East are the Nets and Bucks. Philadelphia might be but with the Simmons drama who knows. The Heat, Hawks, Pacers, Bulls, Knicks, and Celtics will make up the rest. I think the Pacers could be as high as 3 or 4 but I don't think they'll be as low as 8 or 9 so that's why I say 5 or 6. Not to mention they will be better coached than last year.
  6. They'll be better than that. I think they'll be around the 5 or 6 seed and could be higher depending on what they do at the deadline. They will be making moves at the deadline this year.
  7. Pacers will be fine. It sounds like LeVert will be back close to the start of the season. Warren got good news in his last evaluation and they will know more about him in 2 1/2 weeks.
  8. I’ve heard people say they expect Hooks to drop in ranking soon and I’ve heard there’s question marks about him in consistency and effort.
  9. Reds LHP pitcher Reiver Sanmartin will make his MLB debut today against the Pirates taking Wade Miley's spot in the rotation. Sanmartin had a 10-2 record and a 3.32 ERA in 25 appearances (17 starts) this season at Triple-A Louisville and Double-A Chattanooga. He's getting a look as a rotation candidate moving forward prior to the end of the year. Side note he was acquired from the Yankees along with Sonny Gray for Shed Long. I think the Redlegs won that trade.
  10. He's really not and the IU staff clearly doesn't think so either.
  11. Lol I'm not and I don't think Grigson was a good GM. I just see a bad team that the media constantly told everyone was really deep and talented.
  12. But the media told me that Ballard assembled a deep team and that he was the best GM in the league and Frank is a great play caller. The Indy media can’t be wrong 😂
  13. Yeah the Reds are done but they found a way to win and I don’t want to see them just rollover to end the year.
  14. Big NIL money was supposedly on the table which isn’t surprising for a hometown kid
  15. The first 3 will be interesting. Senzel I think could be used as a trade piece but I also wouldn´t give him away as he could still be a flexible utility player the poor guy just can´t stay healthy.
  16. I started looking at the Reds contract situation this morning since the Reds are not making the postseason. I kind of understand why they didn´t make a ton of moves this year because their contract situation is a mess overpaying certain players. Fans love praising Dick Williams but man he handed out some bad contracts granted at least he was trying to win and players just haven´t performed. Hopefully they can move one or 2 of those this off season and use that money someplace else.
  17. The team has not been the same since Winker and Naquin both got hurt.
  18. I'm convinced Woodson wants 2 guards in the 2023 class if it's possible.
  19. Depends on the player and each rosters construction. The Angels wouldn't bat Ohtani lead and he has the 4th fastest home to 1st in baseball. With the Reds for example if they signed him this offseason he would never bat lead off because of India. With a team that doesn't have a traditional lead off option then I could see them putting him there since he seems to have a knack for producing better in that spot.
