  1. Big pass there…guy is hurt every year. He might be a better down field threat than Pierce at least was before this latest injury but I’m not interested in investing on his comeback season. Agree we need weapons but this draft is so deep at wr I think we can do better.
  2. Gotta have someone to hold down the fort when Stewart gets popped for PEDs again.
  3. Draft night the picks will be worth more than ever…no the longer you wait the less valuable he becomes…teams know they have you over a barrel. Bears f’d this up by not getting a deal done right after the playoffs when more teams have needs. Right now teams are falling in love with all the potential in the draft…no one wants to give that up for a qb who has huge question marks and will get very expensive very fast. Should have identified a suiter and made the deal awhile ago. I promise the longer they wait the less they get. Take what you can get…sunk cost now. Use it to put weapons around Williams. I don’t see a clear landing spot. Denver has to pay for the Wilson debacle and will need to go rookie to afford a qb and have a long rebuild setup. Seattle I think is a good fit as any if they are willing to move off Geno but that might hurt the locker room. Oakland?? Seems they might take a rookie and let them sit behind Minshew. Giants have too much money wrapped up in Jones. There really isn’t a landing spot that a team will give up a ton to get him. It will be something similar to the Trey Lance trade like in Dallas. Also if he isn’t worth more or a better option than Russell Wilson…wow then he isn’t worth much…I don’t believe a 2nd was on the table. Bears should have taken it and run…nope don’t buy it. Lots of stories out there but little truth to most.
  4. Nice for Baker. He may not be a top 10 qb but he got done dirty by Cleveland and good to see him land in a spot he is wanted and get a nice contract….feel so bad for the Browns since Baker has clearly outplayed Watson since the trade…oh wait..no I don’t. Poorly run organizations will find ways to screw it up.
  5. Yeah too soon. One more season and it will be safe.
  6. Why not trade for Higgins and use the cap space to sign him long term. Imagine Williams red zone targets with Kmet, Higgins, and DJ Moore…perfect compliment there. I don’t think you need to draft a wr early. Take your lineman at 9…use draft capital later for trading for Higgins.
  7. What’s giving him away? I doubt they get more than a 3rd rounder for him. Thinking a conditional 3rd at best. Maybe a 4th and 6th. Seattle would likely be a logical fit. Denver doesn’t have anything to offer. Oakland just signed Minshew. Minnesota needs a qb but you won’t trade in division. Top 3 teams likely taking qbs. Not sure why you didn’t trade him at trade deadline or something. There were a ton of teams with injured qbs that could have offered more at the time probably.
  8. Hard to care about IU football until they do something worth caring about. I’ll be interested in seeing how the new coach gets them to perform but I’ve heard lots of promises and platitudes before from football and new basketball coaches alike at IU. I’m going to have to see some evidence first before I get worked up about IU football.
  9. Yep the heart they play with…leaving it all on the line.
  10. All you want to do is be a Humanitarian and give a way money to needy people and they won’t even return your emails…smh….what’s this world coming to.
  11. Looks like Celtics and Nuggets…it’s interesting because I think they both matchup well with each other. Long athletic wings for Denver to throw at Tatum and Brown…two bigs that can play all over the floor. Good depth on both sides. Would make for a great series.
  12. Mathurin out for the season…Pacers will do well if they get out of the first round.
  13. I think those draft boards are not too accurate. Second round I see lots of kids that aren’t on the draft boards make it…but it’s a possibility. I don’t know if he stays though…we weren’t his first choice for a reason and nothing with how I’ve seen Woodson use him suggests he is going to benefit from staying as opposed to playing somewhere with better players surrounding him making the game easier for him. Similar how Liam didn’t want to come. There is no Calvary coming no reinforcements to make the game easier to showcase your talents. Everything comes very difficult for Mgbako and would have been same for Liam too.
  14. His desire to be OAD was stated from the start. I’d put money on him going late second as a prospect or taking a g league contract. Could be wrong but that’s how I felt coming into the season and that’s what I still think now.
  15. The life blood of a program is recruiting. I guarantee Mike would have softened the blow of a bad season if he had evidence he could point to next year that we have guys coming in that would get the program back up to standard. He has none…and worse the one kid he had left because he felt we were no longer a good fit for his game. The way Mike has recruited or perhaps his lack in building a foundation for the program is where the anxiousness comes in. Woody tried to take a short cut and win as fast as he could by recruiting 1-2 top 10 OAD type because he knew he didn’t have or want to do the hard work of a longer more stable rebuild. He wanted immediate success but it wasn’t sustainable.
  16. I’d think he is about to retire on his own…you can’t keep that fire burning that white hot for that long.
  17. Not at IU…when we lose…we lose big…not too many close losses this year…fans being upset in Basketball and football have directed their heat at the coaches and rightfully so. What both put on the field/court this year was below IU standards…well should be..but clearly the board has set a new bar for our athletics.
  18. See the thing is…to me it’s on the coach when the chips are down to be that difference maker…to scratch out wins. He himself has said all season…he hasn’t gotten them over the hump….isnt that an admission of failure? Then to lose the one recruit you have because of being lazy and not changing in your ways…zero recruits…think about that…not a single kid in America wants to come to IU and play in his offense.
  19. Not sure I understand it…MVC has been a multi bid league for quite some time. I know some quality left it when Creighton and Witchita St left but it shouldn’t matter.
  20. How many openings will we have. Trey, Leal, Walker, XJ graduating…Ware/Mgbako likely nba…open scholly makes 7 gone minimum…leaving 5 left and Banks, Gunn very likely to transfer…wow Woodson has work to do.
  21. He should be gone…if he can get drafted go now…only things can go wrong for him by staying.
  22. Does Jalen Blackman have eligibility?? Couldn’t we use his shooting?
