Nothing stopping people from showing up outside assembly hall with signs saying replace the board or fire the coach. You get big enough crowds doing that or staging a mass walkout with the students…where they show up and after the first tv timeout they all get up and leave together….imagine that on tv. You can make a statement and have huge effect…it isn’t about one or two people not showing up…it’s about power in numbers…organization. Have someone deliver a message to the announcers while everyone leaves in unison…imagine that optic.

Stat of the day…Indiana 2024 recruiting class ranks 363…only slightly worse than the 2023 team 3pt made per game of 350.

No doubt…if we were winning games would this be an issue??? The expectations aren’t insane…good basketball shouldn’t be that hard to achieve.

Major college sports IS professional. They get paid more than I do. They wanted the check…they have no loyalty to a school…can’t imagine what they expect the fans to do if they are performing horribly…but even then 99% of the complaints are not personal or threatening in nature.

Not all…X hasn’t for example..we all know others. However almost every great player the drive came from within. Give these kids like Trayce and JHS and Trey the tools and they will work their @ss off to get better. I think it’s a bit egotistical if I say my employees success is because of my leadership. I might created the culture and gave them the tools but most people fail and succeed on their own imo. Maybe people disagree with me…but a coach truely developing someone I think is pretty rare. It would be like taking a raw talent like Geronimo and turning them into an all big ten player. Even then we can’t say what percentage was a result of the coaches working with him and how much was the extra work the kid did on his own. I don’t think Woodson is bad at player development but I also don’t think he has put these kids in the best situation to succeed. Whether that is putting talent around them in the right places (roster construction) or in the emphasis of his offense.

You can’t bring in 30% portal guys and 18% new freshman every year and expect to have any continuity in your program and build any type of culture. That’s 50% of your roster new and also 50% with the portal guys leaving and the senior class leaving every year too. Churning half your program imo doesn’t lead to long term success. The portal best case is 1 maybe 2 players tops.

Do you know how long it takes to type out Coach Woodson…it’s a world of 28 characters or less. That’s the length of an avg tweet…the world has changed. Twitter, forums, etc people don’t even call President Trump and Biden by their full title. Sure in person but on a message board..I just think that is outdated and no one is intending to be insulting.

Its likely…with a 65 year old coach who doesn’t like recruiting and was suppose to be a bridge hire…smh…too bad no one told us where the bridge was leading to. (Bridge to Nowhere)

Woody put this team together. Yeah he struck out…but he brought in no guards to help…in fact brought in duplication of what we already had…I agree with what we have right now he is backed into a corner but Woody put us in that corner. Even left a scholarship on the table. UK had like 3 scholarship players going into last offseason and they still filled 12…right up until the start of the season they were still recruiting. Seems if Woody doesn’t land the best he isn’t going to work hard to go after the rest.

You act like Woody played no part in all this…come on!! This is 2024…recruiting never ends…whether it’s the portal with your guy…other teams guy…or your HS recruits you never stop recruiting. Do you think this kid wanted to come to a team with one of the poorest offenses in D1 and think it will be good that he has no support to help him look better?? Mgbako has to work incredibly hard for his shots and we do little to get him easy looks. Kid can’t help but see Woody landed no other 24 recruits and brought in no real support in the portal…you would trust him with your basketball future? Would you commit to IU when you can have your pick to play for any program in the country with your NBA aspirations on the line? I wouldn’t and I’ve loved IU since I could walk.

Yep…they all go to Purdue and have them ranked #1 seed in tournament.

Can’t blame the kid for not wanting to play on a team with no support. Woody has failed to add any help in the recruiting class and brought in none in the portal…saw what Woody put on the floor and Woodt double down on an inside focused offense. Kid said “F” it I’m not untrusting my future to a coach that thinks this is winning basketball. I can’t carry that team by myself.

That doesn’t matter…the kids knew about our fans before he signed…nothing has changed there. This is about Woody and the program so let’s keep the focus where it belongs.

We were told the style would change after Trayce left…in fact it’s gotten worse not better. We’ve gotten worse in every offensive category…the offense is declining and Woody made no adjustments…

No it doesn’t. Unless they are directly contacting and harrassing the recruit it doesn’t. UK, Kansas, and UNC have some of the most toxic fans…put us to shame if you have ever lived around them or followed them on Twitter/forums….i mean we are talking IU is child’s play to what they say and do. Yet they all continue to recruit the best of the best…no one is turning them down over fan support or lack there of. These kids are after one thing and one thing only. $$$…NIL and NBA $$. They know the drill. They’ve seen our messages for years before even letting us recruit much less sign them…they aren’t surprised by fan outrage.

Yep…that’s like ignoring your girlfriend for months and then complaining about the guy that stole her…dude…look in the mirror. There is one person only to blame.

This program is going to have a failure of Georgetown epic proportions. It is scary how similar this is going to turn out…just wonder if we will ever turn it around as clearly Georgetown with all of their history is struggling to this day.

Well since he thinks college basketball is played inside out why are you surprised. We are basically bottom of NCAA in 3pointers….what sharp shooter would want to play in that offense?

You have one recruit…and you don’t stay in touch to keep him. That’s some coach we have. Woody has no business running a program. We are approaching Patrick Ewing ineptitude now.

Or maybe he heard Mike Woodson say inside out basketball is the way to play. If I was a 3 and I heard that and saw the 3 years of Woody coaching then I think I’d decommit too.

I’ve met only a handful of people that have ever done that…and they would fit your description to a T when it comes to being self aware lol.
