Until they get serious about defense it’s going to be hard to take them serious in the playoffs. They are fun and exciting on offense at least but dangerous…maybe in the East as outside Boston it’s a mess.

It’s why so many stay in school…become a small fish in a big pond or stay in college and be the big fish in small pond. Certainly she and the Fever will do very very well though as she is an anomaly.

With his athleticism and his knowledge of the game coming up from the family he was in…it was entirely an effort thing…to me he was all about himself (not unlike a few of our top recruits over the years).

Her WNBA salary is only like 78,000. That’s the max for all of them…most can’t even afford a house in the city they live…so she will have to earn money any way she can.

She should team up well with Boston. They have some decent pieces to build around. We will see. Women’s pro is much more team oriented imo as it takes a lot more than a couple superstars like men.

young is the problem…given our history for keeping guards like him in front of us…once that first line of defense breaks down it is all down hill from there. I agree it’s a good matchup. Scott didn’t play well first game but yes Young and Scott matchups worry me given our history.

If it isn’t 1 then it should be…if they miss out on these guys because they couldn’t land them then they should be fired…if it isn’t either and they are resting on their laurels well then that too tells me they should be fired….i think no matter what…we know the answer.

I know…but they don’t play against our defense 30 games a year…if they did they wouldn’t be so bad at 3s. That said the main point of emphasis is stop ball penetration…if they break us down off the dribble…we will be in for a long night.

Stop ball penetration….limit 3pt difference to 12pts or under. I think that is it. If we can’t stop the ball and keep it in front of us…they will carve us up.

Yeah Northestern still had most starters still in…like the coach was trying to get some brownie points for getting it under the betting line.

No…this year is making up for the ones he made last year. I love the kid but he is not a good shooter…free throw line proves that…gotta take them when they are there but he just is not a threat out there.

To me it’s a way to save face…maybe continue to get paid….remain cordial with your Alma mater. Also doesn’t mean he can’t bring value…parents can talk to him when kids visit…he can still help kids…win win hopefully.

I would hope he brings kids into his office for exit interviews…at least with several key ones. If we are going to have a bare cupboard next year I’d rather move on and give the new coach time to recruit 2025…then wait another year. Move Woody upstairs…he can still be a face around the program for parents and mentor kids…but get a new coach with energy and passion to move this forward.

Crazy we are in good company…bottom of the B1G is Michigan, Ohio St, Indiana, Maryland…that’s a lot of top flight programs….oh and Rutgers…

To be fair it isn’t his either…he was brought in to be a rotational piece…that said it’s a new world for college basketball. These kids aren’t amateurs anymore. They are getting paid to perform. They want the money…they will get the criticism that comes with not living up to those expectations. It’s a double edged sword.
