  1. Didn’t really have a lot of issues up through college…couple bad days here in there…but late 20s started noticing it…then progressed much worse later. Pretty much corresponding at the same time I started losing my abs and wasn’t exercising as much. Strong core and muscles kept things in place for me…once that weakened it got bad fast…then even if I wanted to exercise etc it hurt too much to do so. Keeping weight off helps a lot so I’ve managed that through diet and free weights and walking a bit but I can’t go back to rigerous exercise anymore unfortunately. Seeing a spinal specialist this week. Hoping injections might allow me to be a bit more active. I love sports and outdoor activities but it sucks not being able to do them for any length of time.
  2. I have very tight hamstrings and they pull on my pelvis which tilts my hip slightly…throws my lower back out of alignment and in my case causes severe sciatica pain after years of issue. Haven’t found any real fix for this…lots of stretching every day (yoga some say)…strengthen abs/core…strengthen back muscles…stay hydrated etc etc. If that is his case…probably won’t go away…will have to manage it rest of his life id assume as I’ve found nothing to fix it.
  3. Like speaking of yourself in the third person?? 🧐
  4. NIT!!! Woo hoo guys! That’s even better than I thought! And if Woody is stuck in the 70s like his way basketball is played then he might think the NIT is still a good thing too!
  5. To be fair the Pacers had been playing two bigs (albeit unsuccessfully) for several years trying to play both Turner and Sabonis together….thankfully they brought in a dynamic point guard and lo and behold what happens??!!!
  6. I feel like he is just trying to justify his roster construction and his teams inability to shoot and the poor offense. Like why does he double down on his mistakes. People would appreciate the honesty and give him a second chance if he said he made mistakes in not filling the final scholarship and the makeup of the roster didn’t turn out how he would like. I’m making do with what I have and I think this teams best chance is to play through its two most talented offensive players who unfortunately should play the same position. Just admit the error and say i won’t make it again. I want to make some comments about Woody and his personality but I’ll just keep it to myself. Can’t say something nice and all…but for someone who doesn’t have a great coaching track record…the guy comes off a little too assured of himself.
  7. I mean was this reporter sitting on this comment for 3 years or did Woody just now say this? Just feels a bit weird this comes out now when we just had our best guard game of the year?
  8. You could watch one March madness highlight advertisement and see all the incredible guard play leading teams…Cinderella’s and national championship powerhouses alike to figure out it’s a guards game.
  9. Well didn’t he say his 4th wife and he has 5 exes? Just assuming.
  10. In all honesty do coaches get asked questions when interviewing…how did that not come up in the hiring process and after 3 years we are just now finding out? Inside out like a guard penetrates and kicks it out?? Or simply throw it into the post like it’s 1960 and let your big go to work and the 3pt line doesn’t still exist. Woody sure knows how to throw all the good will he earned with his two wins away real fast don’t he.
  11. This sounds too specific to be made up….wow you certainly dodged a bullet there!
  12. Recruiting is likely not going to improve. Not many are going to commit more then 1 year to Woody when he is coaching year to year given his standing with the program. I don’t see how 25 gets better…but we shall see. I think he has a lot more support where it matters then on this board…and that’s all the matters truthfully.
  13. Those people aren’t likely to change between now and the end of the year…imo we will win a game or two more and lose a couple…nothing major will happen. Either you know a change is needed or you want another year to decide. Can’t see people changing their mind at this point. There is enough evidence on both sides…he’s coached 3 years and plenty of tape…he also has 4 recruiting classes now (if Liam is all we are landing)…so while the program maybe has stabilized some is there any momentum moving it ahead? People should know where they stand on that at this point.. couple games won’t change anything.
  14. What if he decides this year?? I mean I don’t know either way but can only support what he does. Will you support Dolson if that is what he does? No matter what none of us have a say in the decision. I can say only for myself…I’ve seen enough to think this is not likely to get significantly better. If they make a change im ok…if it stays the same so be it…but i think Dolson is on the hot seat along with Woodson if he lets it go on longer and he knows it should be fixed. This would be his second hire he won’t get a third…same with football…you aren’t getting multiple chances at these coaching decisions…so I’m sure he will do what he thinks is best.
  15. There is no one out there that I think you could point the with an immaculate resume. Point will be have you seen enough of Woody and with what Woody is building to think he is the right man going forward. I’m always more interested in the future than the past. I don’t ignore it but I’m looking ahead. Question will be for Dolan who is around the program is he confident Woody is still the right guy to move this forward. Is he recruiting well enough, building a culture to win, making the necessary adjustments and coaching decisions…is his team building one that will sustain success. Only a few people can answer that and have behind the scenes knowledge…but I can make up my mind with my limited knowledge and what I hear from those around the program that might have that access that perhaps this isn’t on the right track. No matter what Dolson is the only one that matters in this decision so we can sit back and wait and see.
  16. Pearl hasn’t exactly had a roster full of nba studs. Imo Pearl has done a fabulous job of getting, coaching, and developing guys in that 30-100 range. It takes some time to make inroads but everywhere he has been he wins games. He usually has very active, quick, and good shooting guards, and long/athletic bigs at the rim. I think he could build a good program here because I don’t think it is fair to think we are going to live in that top 25 range of players Woody seems to want to target…give me those hungry hard playing 30-100 guys but develop them and throw in an occasional 5*. I like the brand he plays and I like the effort his teams come with.
  17. Has anyone got Dusty on record saying IU is his dream job? Just wondering because my dream job at 18 was a lot different than 45….and #1 on my list now is $$$ and opportunity…far from what was important growing up. Who says IU is his dream job?? Who says that’s where he wants to go? Not fighting just would like to know because I’ve heard him on the radio and tv down here in Florida a lot and never heard that from him…in fact haven’t heard anything about wanting to coach at IU some day.
  18. This is a very important part about building a program…and a culture. You can’t build a culture when a majority of your players are from the portal every year. If we are only bringing in 1-2 freshman a year than pretty quickly the majority of your team will be leaving every year and your starting from scratch. Woody has to understand that. The season isn’t long enough to figure out how to get over the hump. Portal may be like free agency in the nba but that’s about as far as it goes. You can’t sustain a program on that alone. You can fill a hole but to bring in all these different personalities and agendas and marry them up from one year to the next with no continuity…that ain’t going to work. Its why I’m really worried about next year…1 HS recruit…and that kid projects as a one and done possibly….how the he!! Are you suppose to build a program on one year kids from the portal and HS. IU still has no identity…it doesn’t have to be all or nothing but you need to stack some classes of recruits with the DNA you are trying to build and I see none of that. As bad as things were with Archie he brought in tough minded kids that would play defense and rebound….once woody lost Archie’s core what has he replaced it with???
  19. Purdue has a very good team…definitely benefiting from some bad basketball but that isn’t their fault…and if they win a championship I wonder how people on here will handle it. Be interesting times for sure.
  20. Understatement of the decade. I’d argue college basketball in general is down…from what I’ve seen outside a couple teams it’s really bad across the board.
  21. If those rumors of how unhappy the players are is true…it would be a huge rebuild either way. Not sure I believe all those either.
  22. I don’t buy them but we will see.
  23. Well X didn’t start but he is a 6th year senior and Galloway hasn’t started a ton before this year but he has plenty of experience. Same for Reneau as he played a lot as a freshman but just didn’t start. We aren’t young. Leal is a senior, Walker too…lots of upperclassman with plenty of college basketball under our belt. We lack leadership. X hasn’t been that and we were counting on him this year. We just hitched our wagon to the wrong horse. Young…not really….lacking leadership…oh no doubt.
  24. definitely not the whole time. We had some really good stretches last year. Year 1 and 3 have been a little to much of a roller coaster for my liking…year 1 it was a learning curve type thing but we were competitive…this year for the most part we haven’t been competitive in our losses….some really really bad ones. Not having a signature win is tough too. That said I hope we end strong and spring board into next year…Woody will be our coach…he is going to have a lot of pressure…expectations for a better season will be high.
  25. I’ve never thought we were bad…played some bad ball but too much talent to be bad….but also can’t shoot well enough and play smart enough to be good either. We are mediocre like our record…and that’s frustrating. We should be better than mediocre that’s for sure.
