Purdue has a very good team…definitely benefiting from some bad basketball but that isn’t their fault…and if they win a championship I wonder how people on here will handle it. Be interesting times for sure.

Understatement of the decade. I’d argue college basketball in general is down…from what I’ve seen outside a couple teams it’s really bad across the board.

If those rumors of how unhappy the players are is true…it would be a huge rebuild either way. Not sure I believe all those either.

I don’t buy them but we will see.

Well X didn’t start but he is a 6th year senior and Galloway hasn’t started a ton before this year but he has plenty of experience. Same for Reneau as he played a lot as a freshman but just didn’t start. We aren’t young. Leal is a senior, Walker too…lots of upperclassman with plenty of college basketball under our belt. We lack leadership. X hasn’t been that and we were counting on him this year. We just hitched our wagon to the wrong horse. Young…not really….lacking leadership…oh no doubt.

definitely not the whole time. We had some really good stretches last year. Year 1 and 3 have been a little to much of a roller coaster for my liking…year 1 it was a learning curve type thing but we were competitive…this year for the most part we haven’t been competitive in our losses….some really really bad ones. Not having a signature win is tough too. That said I hope we end strong and spring board into next year…Woody will be our coach…he is going to have a lot of pressure…expectations for a better season will be high.

I’ve never thought we were bad…played some bad ball but too much talent to be bad….but also can’t shoot well enough and play smart enough to be good either. We are mediocre like our record…and that’s frustrating. We should be better than mediocre that’s for sure.

I do love YouTube tv. My only issue is abc on YouTube tv doesn’t work right and keeps freezing…but only on tv…when I watch it on my phone it works fine….but I like all the options with YouTube tv…especially the 4 in the box sports cast. It was game changer with nfl network.

What about in power 5 competition? That would be more relevant….those early season cupcakes probably aren’t relevant in measuring his impact. Don’t get me wrong…good X can be a difference maker…but we haven’t seen much of that kid this year.

Maybe not 30 mins but I’ve definitely thrown my back out doing that lol..sucks getting old.

Credit to the team and staff…they could have packed it in after that awful performance in the first half but they took care of the ball better…stepped up the defense and it all came together.

Who is going to rebound? Definitely need a dynamic guard in the backcourt for sure. One that can stop the ball alongside Trey and one that can get into the paint to hit Mgbako and Liam on the wings. I just pray we don’t go back to this two bigs next year…we start Sparks and Reneau I’ll be very sad.

If we could just bottle that up for two halves we could beat the top half of the B1G. Very good win…but let’s have some consistency next year hopefully. Back to back wins for the first time since December that’s just not good. We really need to find a special point guard in the portal next year…one that can knife up a defense like sashimi. It’s all I want a IU…a few 3pt shooters…a rim protector, and a point guard that can break down his man. Let’s get to work after the season…its all I want for my birthday.

Knocking down some shots forced Maryland to come out and extend and opened up the paint in the second half. Dribble penetration is the difference in winning basketball. Guards break down defenders get them out of position and it makes it easier on everyone. Maryland did it first half we did in second…we stopped it better in second half and made our run. We gotta get guys in the mindset to buckle down and defend our man and keep them out of the lane. Keeps our bigs out of foul trouble…keeps them in position to rebound and means less kick out threes.

Haven’t had someone stretch the floor and knock down multiple 3s like Mbako today in a long time. Kept us in the game honestly.

Or double dribbled lol…hey no complaints here.

Same in Indiana. It becomes about the coaches trying to control the game instead of letting the kids decide the outcome…now granted you need guards that can handle the ball but I don’t like it.

Good job stopping and helping on the penetration.

They are collapsing and helping off on him…its going to be difficult if we don’t get any dribble penetration and draw defenders away he isn’t going to get much on his own.
