  1. Looks like Celtics and Nuggets…it’s interesting because I think they both matchup well with each other. Long athletic wings for Denver to throw at Tatum and Brown…two bigs that can play all over the floor. Good depth on both sides. Would make for a great series.
  2. Mathurin out for the season…Pacers will do well if they get out of the first round.
  3. I think those draft boards are not too accurate. Second round I see lots of kids that aren’t on the draft boards make it…but it’s a possibility. I don’t know if he stays though…we weren’t his first choice for a reason and nothing with how I’ve seen Woodson use him suggests he is going to benefit from staying as opposed to playing somewhere with better players surrounding him making the game easier for him. Similar how Liam didn’t want to come. There is no Calvary coming no reinforcements to make the game easier to showcase your talents. Everything comes very difficult for Mgbako and would have been same for Liam too.
  4. His desire to be OAD was stated from the start. I’d put money on him going late second as a prospect or taking a g league contract. Could be wrong but that’s how I felt coming into the season and that’s what I still think now.
  5. The life blood of a program is recruiting. I guarantee Mike would have softened the blow of a bad season if he had evidence he could point to next year that we have guys coming in that would get the program back up to standard. He has none…and worse the one kid he had left because he felt we were no longer a good fit for his game. The way Mike has recruited or perhaps his lack in building a foundation for the program is where the anxiousness comes in. Woody tried to take a short cut and win as fast as he could by recruiting 1-2 top 10 OAD type because he knew he didn’t have or want to do the hard work of a longer more stable rebuild. He wanted immediate success but it wasn’t sustainable.
  6. I’d think he is about to retire on his own…you can’t keep that fire burning that white hot for that long.
  7. Not at IU…when we lose…we lose big…not too many close losses this year…fans being upset in Basketball and football have directed their heat at the coaches and rightfully so. What both put on the field/court this year was below IU standards…well should be..but clearly the board has set a new bar for our athletics.
  8. See the thing is…to me it’s on the coach when the chips are down to be that difference maker…to scratch out wins. He himself has said all season…he hasn’t gotten them over the hump….isnt that an admission of failure? Then to lose the one recruit you have because of being lazy and not changing in your ways…zero recruits…think about that…not a single kid in America wants to come to IU and play in his offense.
  9. Not sure I understand it…MVC has been a multi bid league for quite some time. I know some quality left it when Creighton and Witchita St left but it shouldn’t matter.
  10. How many openings will we have. Trey, Leal, Walker, XJ graduating…Ware/Mgbako likely nba…open scholly makes 7 gone minimum…leaving 5 left and Banks, Gunn very likely to transfer…wow Woodson has work to do.
  11. He should be gone…if he can get drafted go now…only things can go wrong for him by staying.
  12. Does Jalen Blackman have eligibility?? Couldn’t we use his shooting?
  13. Leal with the game winning help defense.
  14. Need that one more quad 1 win to justify their net.
  15. That’s too far…let’s keep it basketball related.
  16. Feel bad for Leal…he deserved that bucket on senior night.
  17. I honestly don’t think this game would be close with Trey in there and not Xavier.
  18. More the driving finger roll…but Chamberlain would just rise up in the post and go over his man.
  19. Both teams are terrible…its definitely not a high quality played game.
  20. The finger roll is a specialized type of basketball layup shot where the ball is rolled off the tips of the player's fingers. The advantage of the finger roll is that the ball can travel high in the air over a defender that might otherwise block a regular jump shot or dunk, while the spin applied by the rolling over the fingers will carry the ball to the basket off the backboard. The shot was pioneered by center Wilt Chamberlain in the 1960s.[1] Yes and no. I’m talking about using it as a post move where you bump the guy back then turn and rise over him and finger roll it over the rim. A Chamberlain special…as unstoppable as the Kareem sky hook.
  21. The job is fine…stop with that. Money, recruiting hot bed, beautiful campus and facilities, great fans…we just suck at hiring.
  22. Woody thinks this is the nba.
