Never once did I mention Levis as someone I wanted on the Colts. He cannot learn how to stay out of harms way by watching film or in practice. He has to learn how to protect himself, or he's useless to the team

Why are you blaming Stroud for the losses? I did not say "he" beat the Bengals, if you go back and read my post. I said the team did. And the team lost to those bad teams. What we saw from AR is too incomplete to pass judgement on. If a gun was put to my head to evaluate him this season, I would say that he has to learn how to protect himself so he can stay on the field. That only comes from playing, not film sessions, not practices... and he needs to get all the game experience he can.

C'mon now....you're a coach. Is that what you tell your kids when they lose a game? That it's all on the shoulders of one player. No, he did not lose to Carolina. The Texans did. The same team that beat Jacksonville (which we have not) Pittsburgh, and the Bengals.

The only commonality is that they both played for IU. Woody was an All-American. One of the best to wear the candy stripes. Dakich had one claim to fame, and even that has been overblown.

What was AR's % yesterday? Come back at the end of next season and then we'll see what impact sitting out 3/4ths of this year had on his development. That plus the fact that he played so little in college leaves him way behind, developmentally. Your argument about AR being an elite athlete takes me back to the arguments on this forum about recruiting athletes or players. Stroud is proving he is a player. AR has not proven much of anything. How could he when he has only played one game in its entirety?

If he puts the 2nd teamer guys in with the starters, the starters are going to dominate the possessions and not give the staff the ability to evaluate guys on their own merits. There's also something to be said for seeing who is hungry enough to play their hardest, even if they aren't starting. 2nd game. Let's at least get to December before getting all panicky

I somewhat agree. However, when a team takes the volume of 3 point shots that Army did, there are going to be a lot of those long rebounds that often kick back out to where the shooter was. Not as glaring of a discrepancy as these statistics show.

Lots of armchair coaches here making decisions on who should/shouldn’t be playing…after 2 games. It’s a new team. These guys have to learn to play with each other. Sparks was hurt so didn’t have the benefit of playing in the exhibition games. They have to get better. Sitting on the bench won’t accomplish that. Gonna be growing pains, so patience and realistic expectations are in order here. The sky is not falling
